Stamp Recycling Scheme FAQ Q: What do you do with our stamps? A: The are sorted and graded and sold in bulk as GB or all world ‘kiloware’ or by individual country – Australia to Zanzibar or by theme – Aeroplanes to Zebra’s Q: How do you know that the FREE post envelope that I send in is from me? A: Each envelope is labelled with a unique number that tells us it’s from you and the charity that you support. Q: Can I include the white or gold labels that the post offices often use instead of stamps? A: No sorry these have to be removed from the stamps please. Q: We have been donated stamps that we think are worth more than those collected from the post will you pay more for these? A: In principle - Yes! Anything that you feel may be of greater value than normal separate out and send it in with an accompanying note asking us to take a look and let you know. Q: We have been donated some really old envelopes and postcards can we cut the stamps off them to send them in to you? A: No please don’t do this as they are potentially worth significantly more if they are kept intact as we can sell these on to collectors of postcards an postal stationery Q: Why do you say that you don’t want stamps collected from the post that are older than 3 or 4 years old? A: This is because the majority of stamp collectors that we sell to tend to already have the older stamps in their collection so they have little value.
