ACCOUNTANCY ASSIGNMENT (To be done in register only)

The following questions are a part of Project Based Learning.

The Work has to be handwritten and done neatly with important points highlighted

1. Define Book keeping and Accountancy.

2. Qualitative characteristics are the attributes of Accounting Information which tend to

enhance its understandability and usefulness. In the light of this statement, briefly

explain any two such characteristics other than relevance. Identify which values related

to relevance are highlighted in qualitative information of accounting.

3. Name and briefly discuss the system of accounting which does not record two fold effects

of transaction.

4. What do you understand by window dressing in accounting? Also, identify any two

INVESTIGATORY PROJECT

1. Roll no. 1-5, 16-20, 31-35

Collect the source documents like receipts, bills, counter foils of bank

slips etc. and paste them in your project file.

Minimum five such documents have to be pasted (One sample for each document)

Write the problems that could arise if source documents are not maintained.(30 to 40

words)

2. Roll no. 6-10, 21-25, 36-40

Collection of source documents, preparation of vouchers, recording of transactions with the

help of vouchers.

3. Roll No. 11-15, 26-30, 41-48

Visit any bank and collect information about the type of accounts, schemes, pay-in-slip,

cheques, debit cards, locker facilities provided to customers etc.

Presentation and Submission of Project Report

Following essentials are required to be fulfilled for its preparation and submission.

1. The total project should be in a file format, consisting of the recordings.
