Constance.. Happy Glamping

with Retreat Home!

Glamping, what a lovely word! It’s the latest buzzword and the hottest new holiday trend. It’s easy to

see why: children love it because, well, it’s camping, and adults love it because yes, it’s camping, but

with all the awkward bits taken out and replaced by a large injection of style and comfort! It’s a perfect

opportunity for frazzled grown-ups to relax, unwind, and get back to nature. At the same time, it’s a

little bit like playing ‘House’ as a child. What’s not to love? For a little fabulous escapism, it really is

hard to beat.

There are some wonderful opportunities for glamping all around the UK, in tents, yurts and caravans,

and it’s a great opportunity to explore our beautiful countryside, from Cornish beaches, to wild moors,

woodlands, forests and farmlands. One of our favourites is Jollydays Luxury Camping – what a perfect

name! – who offer fabulous facilities in a gorgeous part of the world, in North Yorkshire. You can find

Glamping has evolved its very own style: effortless, individual, colourful, comfortable and fun. Glittery

pale pink wellies? Perfect – this is just the time for a dash of English eccentricity! It’s a wonderful mix

of the old and the new, and above all, glamping style is pretty - floral bunting, retro chintzy fabrics,

pinks, greens and creams.

It occurred to us here at Retreat Home that glamping style really sums up our attitude to gifts,

accessories and furnishings: pretty, easy, colourful, fun, comfy and individual with a dash of romance

and whimsy, so, naturally, we went on a little glamping trip of our own…
