    Creative and innovative Drama and English teacher dedicated to enhancing students' education and development through

    fine arts. I bring to the teaching profession a wealth of knowledge and experience in performing arts, an appreciation for

    languages, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

    Accomplishments

    During my practicum at Aden Bowman, I had the opportunity to apply some of my professional experience in a few

    different classroom settings.

    Led a stage combat lesson for grade10 Drama students to increase physical awareness and encouragecommunication through controlled and choreographed stage fighting.

    Incorporated a film assignment into an ELA 30A unit on humour. Students were asked to work in groups to write,film, and edit a short movie trailer about a Canadian stereotype. Built a dolly system to help students achieve a

    more professional product.

    Modeled the Drama 20/30 class after the Actors Studio in New York, making each lesson a workshop for students.Video recorded every performance with teacher/peer feedback, which was shared with the student through

    Dropbox for independent study.

    Nominated for the Bates Award for Excellence in Student Teaching.Experience

    Aden Bowman Collegiate (September December 2012)

    Taught Drama 20/30, ELA 30A & 30B, and Creative Writing 20/30. Co-directed the senior drama production of Little Women. Assistant coached freshman basketball. Connected with drama teachers at a common department meeting and was invited to teach stage combat at

    other Saskatoon high schools.

    Actor

    Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan Festival (2000- current)

    Professional actor for 12 seasons playing various roles including Hamlet (Hamlet), Orlando (As You Like It), Brutus(Julius Caesar), Leontes (Winter's Tale), Bassanio (Merchant of Venice), Macbeth (Macbeth - 2013 season).

    Actor and Instructor

    Persephone Theatre (2002 2011)

    Actor in several productions including Saint Joan, The Tempest, Home Ice, The Walnut Tree, Velocity, The MerryAdventures of Robin Hood, A Christmas Story.

    Acting instructor for Persephone Theatre School. Collaborated with students to create and develop new work foryear-end performances.
