Special Events Assistant August 2011-July 2012

Assistant to the Special Events Director at the UH Foundation. Responsibilities included

basic clerical tasks, planning and coordinating events, and researching vendors.

Riding InstructorWhippers In, Foxcroft School, Middleburg, Virginia 2008- 2010

Teach beginner riders. Whippers In is an invitational group of elite riders who have apassion for riding and teaching. Proper horsemanship and riding skills are taught to

beginning riding students, many of whom are international students.

Therapeutic Riding Volunteer Manawale’a Riding Center, Waimanalo, Hawaii 2004-2008

Volunteer at a therapeutic riding center located on the island of Oahu. Assisted

emotionally and physically handicapped children adults in therapeutic riding. Dutiesincluded tacking, grooming and exercising horses, assisting students in their aerobics on

the horses and on the ground.

Dog Handler and BreederWhispering Pines, Warrenton Virginia 2001-2010

Handler for Whispering Pines Kennel. Whispering Pines breeds, trains and shows

champion Bernese Mountain Dogs. Responsibilities also include training and showingdogs for outside clients. Co-owned 4 litters. Shown at Westminster Kennel Club 2002:

Breed (Award of Merit) and Juniors (Invitational). Eukanuba Invitational’s 2001 and

2002.
