• 2. Analysing photographs taken of the area at the time.

• 3. Recording your findings onto the correct category on your mindmap.

Page 6: restless earth, 18

What does each category mean on my

thinking map? • Background information about Hati:

-What is Haiti as a country like?

-Is it a rich (MEDC) country or poor (LEDC)?

-What is the climate like here?

Homework: GCSE Practise Question

How do the effects of earthquakes and responses to them differ due to constraints in levels of wealth?

• Use your success criteria to help you get the highest mark possible!

• To be in …

Page 13: restless earth, 18

Success criteria • 1. I have stated that wealth impacts the effects and

responses to earthquakes and briefly said why I think this.

• 2. I have given an example of a LEDC (poor country) that suffered an earthquake and a MEDC (rich country) that suffered an earthquake and said when these earthquakes occurred.

• 3. I have explained what the impacts and responses where to the earthquake in the LEDC.

• 3. I have explained what the impacts and responses where to the earthquake in the MEDC

• 5. I have compared the two case studies and said how the level of wealth made these two case studies different.

• 6. I have written my answer using the key geographical terms (e.g MEDC, LEDC, impact, response) and formed a confident, well structured answer.
