Want to assist an adult job seeker to gain skills, enter a training program, or earn work credentials? The online resources and programs listed here can help. Use them to help Working Learners to explore careers, plan training, and search for better jobs. These resources have no fees for job seekers; some have eligibility requirements. Live resources are listed first. Resources in development are listed on page 5.

Program aligns Adult Basic Education, workforce development, and postsecondary career and technical education to help job seekers with obtain industry-recognized credentials in a career pathway leading to employment in high-demand occupations.
• Links ABE and/or English as a Second Language (ESL) foundational skill building with postsecondary occupational training (MnSCU)

Online tool empowerment of adults needing technology skills for daily living, employment preparation, and/or transition to higher education. Modules are based on skills outlined by the Northstar Digital Literacy Task Force, including: Basic Computer, Internet, E-mail, Windows and Word Processing Skills. Additional modules will be added in the next year.

Program developed by the Minnesota State Colleges and University system in partnership with DEED and WorkForce Center Staff, provides an online structure to define goals and plans related to career, education, finance, leadership development, and personal aspects of a customer’s life. Website provides holistic support that empowers job seekers to move forward in life.

• Written at 9th grade level and below with similar structure to high education version which is used in over 20 MnSCU schools
• Emphasis on helping users connect to resources and social supports
