The main goal for this training session was to improve and enhance the capabilities and skills of
Engineering graduates and readiness to work in the corporate sector by informing them about the
current Fields and Opportunities available for them after graduation and to give them an

3. Group discussion.
4. Mock interviews

Soft Skill Training and Career Counseling.
The Topics covered:
1. Fields and Opportunities available.
2. Resume Writing.
3. Frequently asked questions in interviews.
4. Group discussion.
5. Mock interviews.
Date and Period:
The training session was organized from 02-09-2013 for a period of five days. There were 02
sessions of training of 45 mins. each on all the 05 days.
Number of Students:
The each session was divided into two with 107 students in first session and 100 in the second.
Total number of students attending the session was 207.
Place of Training:
The activity was organized in the University Seminar hall.

Methodology of training:
The training focused on applied and practical methods by using the following concepts:
Brainstorming session on Fields and Opportunities available.
Group Discussions.
Mock Interviews.
Presenting the subjects by involving the trainees in discussion and encouraging dialogue.
Dividing the large group into small groups and given these small groups specific tasks as
example, CV writing.
