Removing MDR-X10 Ear Pads Arrange headphones with both ear pads facing UP. ** Place on a towel or soft surface to prevent scratches. Slide blade to left and then gently twist blade to pop ear pad UP further. Lift up to fully remove. Gently twist plastic blade to pop ear pad UP. Carefully insert thin plastic putty blade (or similar thin, flat object) between ear pad and housing. ** Use minimal force to prevent scratches or dents. Removing MDR-X10 Ear Pads

Arrange headphones with both ear pads facing UP. ** Place on a towel or soft surface to prevent scratches.

Slide blade to left and then gently twist blade to pop ear pad UP further. Lift up to fully remove.

Gently twist plastic blade to pop ear pad UP.

Carefully insert thin plastic putty blade (or similar thin, flat object) between ear pad and housing. ** Use minimal force to prevent scratches or dents.

Installing new MDR-X10 Ear Pads

Obtain new ear pad: P/N 4-430-567-01 (RED) or 4-430-567-11 (BLACK)

Align ear pad tabs with (8) holes shown above.

Press down foam all around until no gaps remain between ear pad and housing.

Gently press down until “clicks” are heard
