Introduction:Starting a NGO with the right

intentions to help the poor and needy people of the society is definitely a very noble move. Unfortunately, all of the NGOs are not lucky to have all the success that Relief India trust has got.

The reasons behind failure of the NGOs:

There can be countless reasons for the failure of an NGO. There may be an NGO which experiences a failure caused by an entirely weird or a new reason which no other NGO has ever faced in the past.

The need here is to be prepared for all the worst situations, especially if you are new in the circuit or your NGO is not doing well. According to Relief India Trust, following are the main reasons which can cause a failure for a NGO:

No clear aims, objectives and goals can lead to a failure.

Weak administration and the incompetency of the management can result in unwanted situation.

The NGOs must have a reliable accountability system which should be transparent as well. This is something what the donors usually want to see in an NGO.

The inadequate funds or the inability to keep consistency in funds can crash an NGO overnight.

Poor organizational structure can also be a root cause of an NGO failure.

Looking to work in all the social sectors at once can be a dangerous thing to do. The new NGOs must have a much focused approach with full concentration given on one particular social sector.

The egoistic approach of NGOs where they are competing with other NGOs for all the negative reason can be very lethal.

The inability to recruit and sustain exceptional volunteers can be a cause for failure as the momentum achieved through the volunteers is unmatchable.

Political interference or any such other activity can also cause failure.
