Product Version 7.5 SP01

Area EPM-SM

Country Relevance Valid for all countries

The following Java System Properties are new or updated from the previous version.Any Java System Properties not mentioned here have not changed since the previousversion:

AuthType specifies whether to use SAP NetWeaver UME or SAPBusinessObjects Enterprise for user management. By default, the value is setto use SAP NetWeaver UME for management of strategy management users.

DirectoryServiceType specifies whether to use SAP NetWeaver UME orSAP BusinessObjects Enterprise for the directory service type. By default, thevalue is set to use SAP NetWeaver UME.

RemoteUserType must always be set to UME regardless of your usermanagement system.

CMSTechnicalUser specifies the name of the technical user when using SAPBusinessObjects Enterprise to manage strategy management users.

This user is required because the strategy management application extractsinformation from SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise before any user isauthenticated. The CMSTechnicalUser requires permissions to retrieve userand group information from the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise. The purposeof this user is to create a system user for anonymous login to the SAPBusinessObjects Enterprise to gather all the users and groups in the system foruse with the strategy management application.

CMSTechnicalUserPW specifies the password for the SAP BusinessObjectsEnterprise Technical User. This password is base64–encoded.

SAP BusinessObjects Strategy Management Release Notes 15

StrategyGroup sets the valid users and system groups for the strategymanagement application. The default is strategy. You must then create astrategy group in the user management system (SAP NetWeaver UME orSAP BusinessObjects Enterprise) that contains specific users and systemgroups who can access the application. If you specify a different name in theuser management system, you would need to update the value forStrategyGroup. If you specify a null value, all users and groups can accessthe strategy management application.

GroupUniqueKey ensures uniqueness of system group names when users arepopulated in SAP NetWeaver UME using LDAP. The value ofGroupUniqueKey determines which field Unique_Name or Unique_ID is usedfor system groups.

Template.strategy maps the virtual directory /strategy to a physicaldirectory. The default value is <drive>:\Program Files (x86)\SAPBusinessObjects\Strategy Management\InternetPub.

Graphic.Source sets the charting package to use in the application, eitherSAP IGS or CVOM.

HomeTabExtFileTypes specifies the file types the strategy managementadministrator can include as external content in the Configure Home Pagesection of the Administrator.

You can remove any file type to make it unavailable for upload by the strategymanagement administrator.

Adding other file types may produce unpredictable results. Internet Explorerhandles the display of Microsoft Office DOC and XLS files based on eachuser's Windows settings. The only way to ensure proper behavior when a userattempts to display external content from a Microsoft Office file is for the userto edit that particular file type and specify that only the Browse in the samewindow option is selected for the Open action.

Pip.Type uses the Java version of Interactive Publisher when you set thisvalue to JPIP. To use the C++ version of Interactive Publisher, set this valueto CPIP. The default value is CPIP.

Multiple Counting of Members with Multiple Parents(Enhanced)Technical Data

Product Version 7.5 SP04

Area EPM-SM

Country Relevance Valid for all countries

In dimensions and hierarchical attributes, it is possible to have members that roll upinto multiple parents. If any of those parents (or their ancestors) roll up into acommon member then the hierarchy has multiple counting issues.

Application Server has changed the default aggregation behavior so that it iscompatible with that of SAP BW. Now whenever you COMPILE a dimension, thecompiler automatically searches for multiple counting issues that arise when membershave multiple parents. During consolidation, the system automatically correctsmultiple counting issues by creating adjustments to eliminate them.

SAP BusinessObjects Strategy Management Release Notes 46

If you want the system to include multiple counting even when there are multipleparents, you can use the new NOCORRECTIONS keyword on the COMPILE DIMENSION

command and CONSOLIDATE any measures that have dimensions with multiplecounting issues in them.

The new CORRECTIONS [FULL] keywords on the SHOW command list all members of adimension that require automatic multiple counting corrections together with a list ofeach ancestor that requires adjustment and a correction factor.

The new NOCORRECTIONS keyword in the CREATE <dimension><user_defined_hierarchy> command performs multiple counting when anydescendants of the User-Defined Hierarchy causes multiple counting within the User-Defined Hierarchy. You can omit the NOCORRECTIONS keyword to correct the multiplecounting issues.

For information, see Multiple Counting in Dimensions in the Application Server Helpfor SAP BusinessObjects Strategy Management located on SAP Service Marketplaceat http://service.sap.com/instguidesepm-stm SAP BusinessObjects StrategyManagement .

SAP BusinessObjects Strategy Management Release Notes 50

You can import some aspects of a context, perspectives, objectives, and KPIs into theapplication.

Use the External Data Loader function to do the following:

Migrate SAP BusinessObjects Performance Manager data into the strategymanagement application.

If you are in the early stages of a strategy management implementation andyou are interviewing users at different levels of the organization to find outtheir perspective, objective, and KPI requirements, use the spreadsheet to savetime during data entry. Rather than record the information during the interviewprocess and then enter the information into the Administrator, you can recordthis information once in the spreadsheet during the interview process and thenimport the information into strategy management. This also avoidsunnecessary mistakes that may occur when entering the same data twice.

If you need to support pre-configured KPIs, you can set up one spreadsheet forone KPI set, and then use the spreadsheet to customize the information forother aspects of the organization that need similar KPI sets.

You can use the spreadsheet to update data that was already imported. TheData Loader uses a combination of several fields to determine if a strategymanagement data object exists in the SAP NetWeaver CE System Database. Ifa match is detected during the re-import, the data object in strategymanagement will be updated with values in the updated .CSV file.

For information about downloading the spreadsheet, configuring the strategymanagement application to use the External Data Loader, and using the External DataLoader, see the External Data Loader User's Guide on SAP Service Marketplace at
