The Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OAMRS) presents this MSK Ultrasound program as part of a larger series for Sonographers of all levels of experience. Diagnostic Ultrasound has become one of the most rapidly developing fields in musculoskeletal imaging. Dramatic advances in technology have broadened its applications and established ultrasound as an important tool in the assessment of musculoskeletal injuries. This workshop will provide practicing Sonographers with current information important to the sonographic assessment of the shoulder and joints of the upper extremity. Using an interactive case study format, it will look at indications, technique, image critique, pathologies and treatment. The emphasis in this program will be on best practices, overcoming pitfalls, and standardizing the shoulder ultrasound protocol in our professional community.
