NEW FOR 2013Over the course of 2013 we will be unveiling improvements to several of our products, as well as a few new additions to our product line. We have spent 2012 working diligently with our product designers and Pro Staff to make The World’s Best Fly Tying Vises and Accessories even better. Below you will find the first two changes to the REGAL VISE product line. We also have several innovative new products to show you in Feburary and again in the fall. We look forward to seeing you then.

PRODUCT CHANGE- MATERIAL CLIP

We have the largest and most illustrious Pro Staff in the world to consult about our products. Based upon their input we have decided to change our material clip. As of now there will be no fixed material clip on our BIG GAME, STAINLESS STEEL, and MIDGE HEADS. These heads will include a simple spring and O-ring clip which you can position anywhere on the head or choose not to use if that is your preference. We will still have a fixed material clip on all of our TRADITIONAL HEADS.


THE TRADITIONAL HEAD

This is a fantastic option for most Fly Tiers. This head is designed to handle most freshwater (for cold & warmwater species) and lighter saltwater hooks. Available on MEDALLION,REVOLUTION, and TRAVEL VISES.

THE ROYAL CLAMP REGAL FLY TYING BAG

The REGAL ROYAL CLAMP was engineered with a three point anchorsystem to grab a table with the same ferocious grip our VISES put on a hook. We have added additional horizontal surface area and surface guards to the vise for a rock solid hold that is safe on most surfaces. This clamp is manufactured from aluminum, so it is light enough to travel. The clamp can attach to surfaces as thin as 1 inch and as tall as 3.25 inches.

THE REGAL VISE DISPLAY

Placing the hook within the head of a Regal Vise is very important. Due to the pressure the vise head exerts, the hook must be placed well within the limits of the head surfaces. See figures 1, 2 and 3 for proper hook placement. Failure to properly place the hooks may result in “chipping” of the head or the hook may dislodge from the vise under pressure. See figures 4, 5, and 6 which depict improper hook placement.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF YOUR VISE

All Regal vises and accessories are manufactured to last a lifetime. As with all precision equipment, the tool simply needs some routine tender loving care. Regal suggests a drop or two of gun oil every so often rubbed into the surface of the head and stem not unlike you would do to a prizedfirearm. This simple task will bring out the true color and luster of the vise and help preserve it.

CONVERTING YOUR VISE LEFT-HANDED

All Regal vises are shipped as right-handed. Making the vise left-handed is a very simple procedure and only takes a few minutes. On the under side of the vise you will see a hex nut in the ball that holds the jaw handles in place. Simply loosen the nut with a 7/64’’ hex wrench and swing the jaw handle to the other side. Tighten the hex nut and you are ready to tie from the left-hand position.

LIMITED WARRANTY REGAL VISE warrants this fly tying vise to be free of any defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the original registered owner. In the event the vise is found to be defective, REGAL ENGINEERING will repair or replace the vise at our option, when it is sent to:

This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

1. Improperly placing hooks into head. Improper hook placement will invalidate your warranty and may cause damage to the vise head. Your REGAL VISE is designed in a specific manner to hold hooks securely while tying. Care must be taken when both placing a hook into the head and taking a hook out of the head. When a hook is properly placed and secured you will find tying easier and safer. Improper hook placement may also cause sudden release of the hook from the head under tension. Always wear eye protection when using a fly tying vise. Please read and review Proper Hook Placement information that is on the warranty card and/or the web site.

2. Failure to use according to instructions;
