The largest refugee camp in Lebanon.

Health care and safety for all refugees in the camps is a great concern.

Northern Uganda- the sights, smells and stories from these camps are horrific- many orphans from the conflict with the "Lord's Resistance Army" that has ravaged the

countryside for the last 18 years. There are children who had witnessed appalling violence and met men and

women who had been mutilated by the insurgents. The gentleman above had both arms cut off. In many of the

camps children are "night commuters."

Dheisheh camp (pop. 8,600), West Bank, is one of 59 camps established in the wake of the 1948 Arab-Israeli war to accommodate the thousands of Palestinians in their exodus from Palestine.
