I am happy to announce that our workplace is participating in Plaid for Dad in support of Prostate Cancer Canada. Leading up to Father’s Day, we are encouraging all colleagues to wear plaid to work on Friday, June 17th to help raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer. It’s going to be a fun day in the office, sharing our best plaid photos all in the name of helping Dads across Canada!

We are asking everyone to make a small donation to get involved. We are suggesting a minimum donation of $8 in recognition of the 1 in 8 men who will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the big day to wear your Plaid for Dad in support of Prostate Cancer Canada. Remember – anything plaid will do the trick! Whether it’s a full suit or just a tie or scarf, as long as it’s plaid it’ll work!

Event Day (June 17th) Copy:Email Subject Line: Let’s show the world we’re plaid!

Hi everyone,

It’s Plaid for Dad day! Thanks to everyone for taking the time to pick out that extra-something plaid this morning!

And to help raise more awareness of prostate cancer, we’re going to take this celebration online! Plaid for Dad is happening all across Canada today. As we head into Father’s Day this weekend, we want to let everyone know that we’re doing this to protect men from prostate cancer.

We’ll be coming around throughout the day to take pictures of everyone in plaid. Feel free to post your own photos as well using #PlaidForDad – Take selfies or group pics then tag and share on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram! As an added bonus, there will be prizes available for the best plaid – so take your best shot!

Enjoy the day knowing that you’re helping to make a real difference for the 1 in 8 men and their families who will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. It was a simple wardrobe choice, but it’s so much more!
