When we all take the time to look at our lives we see many things; the countless roles we play, the problems we’ve overcome, the circumstances we find ourselves in, and our many percieved faults.

We are wives, daughters, mothers, business We are wives, daughters, mothers, business owners, divorced, in debt, too rich, too poor, too

fat, too thin, too young, too old. We are survivors. We want blonde hair, or curly hair, better skin, less wrinkles.

We hope our face doesn’t show our wisdom as we age.

And through it all we over look the beauty in oursleves. We allow those things and other people to be the author of our story, to define our charachter, to tell us what to believe about who we are.believe about who we are.

I love the photo above. Its everything I want to be, natural, happy, feminie, and beautiful. Like many of you, this isn’t how I see myself everyday, but a great photo tells the truth.

The trials of my life, my failures, the faults I find, the words and actions of others, they don’t write my story. I do.
