Ravi Shankar Prasad is the Union Cabinet Minister for Communications & Information Technology

in the Government of India. He is an eminent Lawyer and a Senior Advocate in the Supreme Court of

India. He has been a Member of Parliament since 2000 and a member of important parliamentary

committees in the Parliament, such as Finance, Communications & IT and Petroleum & Chemicals.

Since his appointment as the Cabinet Minister for Communications & Information Technology, he

has been spearheading the task of reviving India's telecom sector. He is also actively leading the task of developing India

into a global electronics manufacturing hub. India is sitting at the cusp of a digital revolution. It is a priority agenda for the

present government and as the Minister for Communications & IT, he is at the forefront of its implementation. The

Lord Meghnad Desai joined London School of Economics in 1965 where he established the Centre

for the Study of Global Governance in 1992. Lord Desai holds a PhD from University of

Pennsylvania. Among his honors in India are Bharat Gaurav in 2002, Pravasi Bharatiya Puraskar in

2004 and Padma Bhusan in 2008. He has authored and edited 20 books and written 200 articles

for academic journals and books. He contributes to newspapers in the UK and India. Recent books

include Marx's Revenge: The Resurgence of Capitalism and Death of Statist Socialism and The Rediscovery of India.

Professor Avinash Persaud Senior Fellow, Peterson Institute for Intl. Economics

Avinash Persaud's career spans finance, academia and policy advice. He is Chairman of Elara

Capital and Senior Fellow at Peterson Institute of International Economics. He is also an Emeritus

Professor of Gresham College and Visiting Fellow at CFAP, Judge Institute, Cambridge. He was a top

ranked sell-side analyst for 15 years and later a senior executive at JP Morgan, State Street and UBS

GAM. He won the Jacques de Larosiere Prize from the IIF in 2000. Avinash is known for his work

“liquidity black holes” and investors' shifting risk appetite.

Anirudh Deshpande Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Sampark Pramukh, RSS

Anirudh Deshpande is the Akhil Bhartuya Sah-Sampark Pramukh of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak

Sangh (RSS). He has more than five decades of association with the RSS and has been actively

associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of RSS. He is the

president of Rambhau Mhalagi Prabodhini and National Secretary of Swami Vivekananda Sardha

Shati Samaroh Samiti. A Gold Medalist at post-graduate examination, he was a Professor of

Commerce & Economics and has teaching experience of 39 years. He is Member of the Executive Council of National

Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) as well as Member of the peer teams of NAAC to assess colleges and

university departments. He has authored books on Management, Banking & Finance and Marketing Management and

has written research publications on Economic Thought of Justice Mahadev Govind Ranade and Economic Thought of

Dr Ambedkar. He was part of the delegation for the fifth ministerial conference of World Trade Organization held in

Mexico at Cancun.

Ratan Sharda Author, Secrets of RSS – Demystifying the Sangh

Ratan Sharda is the author of the much acclaimed book, Secrets of RSS – Demystifying the Sangh.

He has also authored a biography on Professor Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya), the fourth Sarsangh

Chaalak of RSS. He has translated Guruji – Vision and Mission and Biography of Guruji by Shri

Ranga Hari (both Hindi to English) and Being Different by Rajiv Malhotra (English to Hindi). He is a

Senior Functionary of the RSS in Mumbai and was media incharge in the Mumbai committee. He is

the Founding General Secretary of Vishwa Adhyayan Kendra (Centre for International Studies), Mumbai. He has a

master's degree in Economics and Political Science from Mumbai University and a Diploma in Manmade Textile

Chemistry. He is enrolled for a doctoral theses on RSS with focus on its work in Northeast India from Hindu University of

America (HUA), Florida in the US. Professionally, he is an ERP Consultant. He writes reports for www.merinews.com,

Bhavish Aggarwal is Co-founder & CEO of Olacabs.com. He began his career at Microsoft Research,

where within two years he filed two patents and published three papers in international journals.

But he soon tired of the 9-to-5 routine and set about using technology to solve a problem that vexes

urban Indians — commuting. Just a few months after incorporating Olacabs in January 2011, he

raised angel funding from Snapdeal Founder Kunal Bahl as well as investors, including Rehan Yar

Khan and Anupam Mittal. Within six years of leaving campus, he won the confidence of Masayoshi Son, one of the

world's richest men and Founder of Japan's SoftBank Corporation. Today, he has grown to take on taxicab company Uber

to build one of India's most valuable startups. He graduated with a degree in Computer Science from IIT Bombay.

Sanjeev Bikhchandani Founder & Executive Vice Chairman, Info Edge

Sanjeev Bikhchandani, is Founder and Executive Vice Chairman of Info Edge. He obtained a

Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from St. Stephens College, Delhi University, in 1984 and a

Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM, Ahmedabad in 1989. His work experience

includes an advertising position at Lintas India, a marketing position at HMM (now known as Glaxo

SmithKline), and a senior management position at CMYK Printech (owner of The Pioneer

newspaper). Along with his partner Hitesh Oberoi, he won the “Ernst and Young – Entrepreneur of the Year” award in

2008 for business transformation. He also won the Dataquest Pathbreaker Award & the Teacher's Achievement Award

Deepinder Goyal Founder & CEO, Zomato

Deepinder Goyal is the Founder and CEO of Zomato. Prior to starting Zomato, he worked as a

management consultant with Bain & Company in New Delhi. While at Bain, he conceived the idea

of an online restaurant information service after seeing demand for menu cards among his

colleagues. He left Bain in 2008 to start Zomato (then foodiebay) out of his apartment and has

since overseen strategy and product development. He graduated with a degree in Mathematics and

Computing from IIT Delhi in 2005.

Saurabh Srivastava Co-Founder, Nasscom & Indian Angel Network

Saurabh Srivastava chairs India operations of CA Technologies, a USD 4.5bn, US software MNC,

and is one of India's leading IT entrepreneurs, angel investors and venture capitalists. He founded

Anurradha Prasad Managing Director, BAG Films & Media

Anurradha Prasad, the only first generation successful woman entrepreneur in the media industry,

Dr Basant Kumar Rai Vice President, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS)

Dr Basant Kumar Rai is the Vice President of BMS. The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (Indian Workers'

Union) is the largest central trade union organization in India. It was founded in 1955. It is the

labour wing of RSS and has more than 12mn members. He has been associated with the BMS for

the past 40 years. His main area of expertise is mining (iron ore & coal). He has been an active

participant in a dialogue with the Government of India in recent issues related to coal and mining.

He is a physician from Madhya Pradesh.

Sanjay Jamuar Director, R&I Consulting

Sanjay Jamuar has 24 years experience in the railway industry managing frontline

operations, including passenger & freight services and urban metros. He has led the

planning, strategy and project development of high profile projects. Sanjay has expertise in
