Numbers below 0˚C are called negative numbers.

The ‘larger’ the negative number gets, the colder the weather becomes.

Look at the map and answer the following questions:

3. How many degrees below freezing is Glasgow?

4. How many degrees above freezing is Swansea?

5. Is Aberdeen colder than Glasgow?

6. What is the temperature at which water freezes?

7. Which city is at the temperature that water freezes?
