Cost Overview

The trial offering is hosted on Amazon’s Cloud (Amazon Web Services – AWS).

The solution consists of two Amazon instances. An example of cost estimation for the whole solution is

~3.50 USD per hour (deployed in AWS US-East region). Additional costs apply for data transfer and

storage.

Step 2

You will be presented with the Log On screen to the SAP Cloud Appliance Library.

Enter your username and password on the Log On screen.

If you do not have an existing account, you can use the Register Now option to setup a new user.

Step 3

After you entered your user credentials and logged on you will be presented with the Terms and

Conditions. Please scroll down, to read and get accept button active.

Choose I Accept.

Step 4

In the SAP Cloud Appliance Library you will be asked to provide your security credentials from your

Amazon AWS account.

You can then also define the password for the Administrator account for the systems.

Choose Create Instance after you provided those details.

Step 5

You should now be directed to the Instances tab page for your new System.

The system is being created for you in your AWS account (see next slide for the timing of your systems

activation).

Step 6

After approximately 45 minutes your system is ready for logon.

You can click on the systems line item to receive the details (next slide).

Step 7

On the details page you can view the IP address of your created instance (bottom left).

In the Getting Started Guide Chapter 4, it is explained how to connect to each component of the instance.

On the overview page you can also start, stop, suspend and terminate the system.

It is recommended to use these commands instead of directly using the AWS Console to ensure the

configurations (for example, IP Numbers) are intact.
