History1979 – Raychem Corp., USA sets up trading subsidiary

1986 – Manufacturing setup in Vasai, Mumbai

1989 – Raychem RPG Ltd. formed (Raychem Corporation, USA & RPG Group)

1999 – Raychem Corp. taken over by Tyco (Tyco becomes JV partner)

2002 – Take over of Canara Electricals (Rectifier Business)

2004 – New factory for Rectifiers near Mumbai

2006 – 100% Export unit set up for Tyco global supplies

2006 – Entry into Gas Meters with technology from GWI, UK

2007 – Entry into Transformer business; plant setup in Pune

2008 – RRL set up office in Middle East at Dubai

2009 – Energy Meter business & 2nd Transformer plant in North India
