1. For option one, we started my constructing the circumcenter to be able to find the distance that is equal from each city. That point is labeled G on the figure.For option two, we started by measuring the distance between the highways and a point and then moved the point around and then approximated the closest distance we could to each other. The cost for road reconstruction is stated below in the figure. The one at the top of the figure is option one and the one below is option two.

2. We would choose option 2 because it will cost the least amount of money and also is placed in a more strategic location. We believe that the residents of the surrounding cities would not be happy about the location of option one because it’s far from every city. Option 2 is the better option for the residents because it is only far from one city rather than all three.

3. We decided to find the midpoint of the distance that is from Raleigh and Durham because they have significantly more people than Chapel Hill. We found that when you take the ratio of Raleigh’s population over Durham’s population you get 1.26. So we then took the point 26% closer to Durham and that was right near highway 504. We decided to place our stadium on highway 504 because it already exists.

4. Our forth option is going to be to place the stadium on the intersection of 504 and 40. This way you would only have to resurface existing highways and not have to create new highways. This is a better option than both option 1 and option 2 because it seems to be in a better location and also looks to be cheaper because you do not have to create new highways.
