INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
The ISABELA STATE UNIVERSITY Jones Campus, being true to its
mission and vision, is continuously evolving with the hope of improving
its services to cater the needs of its clienteles- the students. It is a known
fact that Jones Campus is one of the small campuses in the system.
However, despite limited resources, the administration, faculty, staff, and
students have managed to maintain a great desire for success. If ISU
Jones then was considered a budding campus, at present, it can be said
the ISU Jones has already sprouted.
ISU Jones had a very smooth operation in the first quarter of 2013 and
the administration hopes and prays for a continuous smooth flow of
administrative and academic activities of the institution. These were
made possible by the unrivaled support of the faculty and staff, the four
departments of the campus, various sponsoring agencies including the
Local Government Unit of Jones, Isabela, and the students. ISU Jones
has remained to be true to its mission of bringing quality education to the
doorstep of every family not only in the town of Jones but also in
Echague, San Agustin, and the Province of Quirino.
With all of these, the Jones Campus is proud to present herein its
accomplishments in different areas for the 1st quarter of 2013.

INSTRUCTION
Agriculture Department
The Agriculture Department offers Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, a
ladderized 4-year course. The department has accomplished the
following:
production of squash, corn, and soybeans;
maintained fishpond for duckery;
gathered organic waste material for fertilizer-making;
initiated organic farming;
observed and evaluated faculty members under the department;
and
presented candidates for graduation to the Campus Academic
Council.
Criminology Department
The department offers the degree Bachelor of Science in Criminology.
The following are its significant accomplishments:
conducted free review classes to graduates as well as 4th year
students;
observed and evaluated faculty members under the department;
and
presented candidates for graduation to the Campus Academic
Council.

The Education Department offers the degree Bachelor of Secondary
Education major in English. Its accomplishments are the following:

Information Technology Department
The Information Technology Department offers only one program, the
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, which is a ladderized
course. The department has accomplished the following:
deployed on-job trainees to different cooperating agencies such as
Kasa-Kabisig Agricultural Cooperative, Land bank of the
Philippines, Philippine National Bank, and PhilHealth Regional
Office;
participated in the career campaign conducted by the university;
observed and evaluated faculty members under the department;
and
presented candidates for graduation to the Campus Academic
Council.

Furthermore, the same office sent two (2) student-researchers, Ms.

at Echague Campus. Luckily, the Technological research presented by
Ms. Santos won third prize. Said researches are as follows:

Farming System Protocol; and
2. SMS-Based Grade Evaluation System of Isabela State University

The Extension and Training Office of Jones Campus has also edited two

Among the activities sponsored by the Office of Student Services, the
most significant was the conduct of career campaign in different
secondary schools not only in the town of Jones but also other schools in
neighboring towns on the latter part of February. The following schools
are visited by the Jones Campus for the abovementioned activity:

to 12:00 in the morning and 1:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon.

In addition to the activities indicated in the table above, the following related activities were undertaken by the unit:
provided consultation to students, faculty, and staff;
administered medicines to students, faculty, and staff with instructions as to frequency and dosage;
referred students, faculty, and staff to other health instructions for further evaluation and treatment in delicate cases of ailments and diseases;
provided health counseling on physical and mental health;
rendered remedial measures for treatment of common ailments;
instituted preventive measures for the control of communicable diseases and for simple and common ailments among members of the school population;
monitored maintenance of safe and healthful environment through the utilization of standard health and nutritional facilities;
participated in the career campaign; and
provided first aid during the students’ week celebration.
