Education lies at the centre of our approach. We create education travel programs that bring individuals from all over the world to the DPRK, as well as South Korea and China—we then use funds raised from these programs to sponsor scholarships for North Korean students to study abroad. We believe that a global education promotes greater understanding and hones critical thinking skills, as human networks expand and individuals are exposed to new ideas and information. Like their counterparts around the world, North Korean university students also relish the opportunity for such an education and we work with institutions both in Pyongyang and abroad to make this dream possible.

Pyongyang Project Programs 2013 – July & August Pyongyang Project programs are uniquely crafted educational travel experiences that focus on international relations, humanitarianism, or economic integration in Northeast Asia. They all place a special emphasis on observing the DPRK as both an isolated as well as interconnected regional actor. The DPRK does not exist in a vacuum, and many of the country’s issues can be traced back to historical as well as modern relationships with its neighbours – affording students, scholars, and interested individuals alike the opportunity to see the DPRK from the perspective of influential borderlands. Included in this document are descriptions and detailed itineraries of our programs for this . We welcome all individuals interested in participating to fill out an application on our website: (http://pyongyangproject.org/programs/open/application.html) We also encourage you to learn more about our programs and our non-profit education work at www.pyongyangproject.org.
