Box 344, Pulaski, NY 13142 The 122nd Annual Pulaski Academy and Central School Alumni Association banquet and meeting was held on Saturday June 25, 2011 at the Pulaski American Legion. President John Wing welcomed the guests and Pastor Brian Homan of Park United Methodist Church gave the invocation. Members of the American Legion served a traditional roast turkey dinner assisted by the Art Club of Pulaski High School. President John Wing opened the business meeting, thanking the American Legion and Art Club for the dinner they prepared and served. A motion was made by Judy Lambert and seconded by Shawn Doyle to accept the minutes of the 2010 meeting as presented in the newsletter. All approved. Shawn Doyle presented the treasurer’s report for approval. A motion was made by to approve the report by Ellen Lowery, seconded by Patsy Doyle. All approved. Barbara Pulvermiller reported that 15 Thank You notes were received from the 2010 scholarship recipients. Blanche Eldridge Williams,’45; Ted Williams,’77; Margaret Williams, 2011. Sharon Bogardus Smith, ’62; Randy Snyder, ’82; Michael Snyder 2011. Catherine Frary Salisbury ’33; Jeanine Salisbury Johnson ’82; Riley Johnson 2011. Freeman Cole ’55; Freeman Cole, ’89; Zachary Cole 2011. A gift was presented to Mrs. Catherine Salisbury 1933, as the oldest graduate in attendance. The Class of 1961 received both the Henry Mathison trophy and the Lura Sharp trophy for having the most members of their class present and the highest percentage of their class in attendance. The 75 year honored class had two members in attendance, Mr. Paul Ingersoll and Mrs. Edith Switzer Cox. Members of the 50 year class were introduced by Stanley Hinman, with 34 members in attendance. Jennifer Craig Monnat represented the class of 1986. Dr. Marshall introduced the members of the class of 2011 in attendance. Each told of their future plans. Dr. Marshall presented the Alumni Scholarships in the amount of $500 each to: Nicholas Brennan, Rockne Burns, Nate Clark, Joe Dobiac, Regan Newcomb, Kalena Sutton, Adam Wickert. John Ben Snow Alumni Scholarships in the amount of $500 each were presented to: Justin Zayown, Lawrence Austin, Kayla Wisner and Robert Wontkowski. Athletic Scholarships in memory of Harold Youker of $300 each were awarded to, Emily McCloskey and Michael Snyder. The Lura M. Sharp Scholarship in the amount of $1,5000 was received by Rockne Burns. Dr. Marshall thanked the alumni association for their continued generosity. President John Wing presented the slate of officers for 2011-2012 to the Alumni Association as follows: President, Theresa Clark Switzer, Vice President Charlotte DeGaetano, Treasurer Laura Brow Denny, Recording Secretary Jennifer Griffith Edick, and Corresponding Secretary Barbara Mathison Pulvermiller. Executive Committee members: Shawn Doyle, Grace Gibbs Friot, Kip Hilton, Mary Lou Morrow, Judy Schreiner Parker, Donald Pratt, Ted Williams, John Wing, Ruthann Spath Walker, Margaret Mathison Weigel, Bernadette Fernan Eickhoff, and Laura Gibbs Skilinski. Motion was made by Ted Williams and seconded by George Elmer to accept the slate of officers as presented.

The 122nd Annual Pulaski Academy and Central School Alumni Association banquet and meeting was held on Saturday June 25, 2011 at the Pulaski American Legion. Toasts were given by members of the honored classes: 1936 - Paul Ingersoll gave a toast to Lura Sharp; 1951 - Pratt Balcom toasted the bus drivers for the job they do each day; 1954 - Judy Lambert; 1961 - Stanley Hinman gave a toast to Faculty and particularly Mr. Mathison; 1976 - Michelle Erbacher toasted the many coaches with a special toast to Pauline Rossman; 1986 - Jennifer Craig Monnat a toast to teachers and to the Class of 2011; 2011 - Nate Clark a toast to Mr. Joe McGrath for his many years of service. Pulaski Area Historical Societies Returning alumni are encouraged to contact the Pulaski Historical Society at 3428 Maple Ave. in Pulaski. The Society is the custodian of all alumni archives, along with being a repository for local history of all types. The Society conducts tours by appointment, and can also be reached by email at: [email protected] PHS conducts interesting monthly program meetings, and produces an informative monthly newsletter which is available by contacting the Society at the above address. Annual dues are $15. Half-Shire Historical Society, located in the former Richland School, represents the surrounding nine townships of northern Oswego County, the Lewis County Twp. of Osceola and the Oneida County Twp. of Florence. The Society concentrates greatly on genealogical research. Half-Shire produces a 12-page newsletter four times a year, and conducts monthly lunch meetings in Richland. The following morning, Saturday, June 23rd, at 11:00 a.m., the class will take a tour of the Lura M. Sharp School. The tour with Dr. Marshall, PACS Superintendent, will start in the cafeteria, which was the bus garage 50 years ago. There is parking right outside the door of the cafeteria where the class will meet. Later Saturday night, the class will attend the Alumni banquet together. The banquet starts at 5:00 pm and will be held at the Pulaski American Legion, 3350 Maple Avenue, Pulaski. Pre-paid reservations must be made for the Alumni Banquet. Reunion notices, Class Lists and the Blog One of the services your Alumni Association offers is class reunion organization assistance. If you are a Pulaski graduate and are thinking about a class reunion, contact us by mail or email and we will assess what we have for your class in the way of photos, names and addresses. When classes establish updated address lists, we also ask for a copy for our records, to more accurately do our own annual mailing. Previous to this there will be a free tour of the old Lura Sharp School at 10pm, meeting at the bus garage. Cost is $15 and for more information. The Call………. …….To the 2012 Annual Meeting The 123rd Annual meeting of the Pulaski Alumni Association will be held Saturday June 23, 2012 at the Pulaski American Legion, 3350 Maple Avenue, Pulaski. A roast turkey dinner will be served at a cost of $12.50 per person beginning at 6:00PM. A cocktail reception will be held prior to dinner at 5:00PM and the annual meeting of the Association will begin immediately following dinner at 7:00PM. Honored Classes this year include 1937, 1962 and 1987 as well as the present graduating class of 2012.
