It provides comprehensive in- formation on all technological aspects of these satellites, including their various functions. The Report on VSATs (Satellite Systems Engineering, Bethesda, MD, 1988, $1500) An analysis of the most significant trends to emerge in the VSAT market over the last two years. It covers applications, sys- tem design, protocols and regulation and also gives details of hardware manufactur- ers, space segment suppliers and network providers. Satellite Communications and Outer Space: Regulatory Aspects by G. N. Sharma (Academic Book Centre, Ahmedabad, In- dia, 1988, $15, 160+xii pp) This book provides a technical and legal study of the regulatory aspects of satellite communications. It looks at the problems related to space law and communications law and covers the history of law in outer space, its application to land mobile com- munications, electromagnetic energy and geostationary orbit.
