Adult Day Health Care offers social events and a safe place for members to go while family caregivers are busy. Adult day care centers have health, social and support services. Most centers are open during work hours. Some have evening, night and weekend hours. These programs dont have 24-hour care. These centers may offer healthy meals for members during meal times.

Adult Family Care Home (AFCH) is a private setting that has housing, meals and personal care services for older persons and disabled adults not able to live alone. An AFCH is run by licensed AFCH providers who live with the members they help. Also, an AFCH is limited to five members at most. An AFCH is meant to be a less expensive choice for members who dont need 24-hour nursing.

To live in an AFCH, a member must meet certain residency measures, decided by Florida regulations and by the providers admission rules. Basically, an AFCH helps members manage personal care services and medication. Room and board costs are not included.

Assisted Living has personal care services in a home-like setting with a great deal of freedom. An Assisted Living Facility (ALF) can have many residents. Personal care and some nursing care are available to meet each members needs. Care may include: Adult companion services Attendant care Homemaker services Medication management Personal care services Social and recreational programs Room and board costs are not included.

Community-Based Long-term Care Providers help people with disabilities with daily life.

Programs and services may include: Adult companion care Adult day health care Assistive care services Assisted living Attendant care Behavioral management Caregiver training Care coordination/case management Home accessibility adaptation Home-delivered meals Homemaker services Hospice Intermittent and skilled nursing Medical equipment and supplies Medication administration Medication management Nutritional assessment/risk reduction services Nursing facility services Occupational, physical, respiratory and speech therapies Personal care Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS) Respite care Transportation (nonemergency) Community-based long-term care services have what members may need to improve their freedom.

Hospice is a type of care for members and their families when a disease no longer responds to treatment and a cure isnt expected. Hospice care doesnt extend life nor hurry death. The goal is to help improve the members last days through comfort and dignity.

Hospice care handles the members: Medical care Pain management Emotional, social and spiritual needs, in addition to the needs of family

or friends Hospice care is offered through a team approach. Bereavement and counseling are also available to families before and after a members death.

Nursing Facilities have nursing, personal and custodial care for members who are ill or not physically able to care for themselves. Nursing facilities are for members who need 24/7 nursing care and have major health problems making day-to-day life hard to handle. Members are required to pay for their patient responsibility as determined by Department of Children and Family Services.

Cuidado de la salud de adultos durante el da ofrece eventos sociales y un lugar seguro al que los miembros acuden mientras los cuidadores de la familia estn ocupados. Los centros de cuidado de adultos durante el da tienen servicios de salud, sociales y de apoyo. La mayora de los centros estn abiertos durante horas laborales. Algunos tienen horario de tarde, noche y fin de semana. Estos programas no tienen cuidado las 24 horas. Estos centros pueden ofrecer comidas sanas para miembros a la hora de comer.

Hogar de cuidado familiar para adultos (AFCH) es un entorno privado que tiene hospedaje, comidas y servicios de cuidado personal para personas mayores y adultos discapacitados que no pueden vivir solos. Un AFCH es operado por proveedores de AFCH certificados que viven con los miembros que ayudan. Adems, un AFCH tiene un lmite de cinco miembros como mximo. Un AFCH tiene la intencin de ser una opcin menos cara para miembros que no necesitan cuidado de enfermera las 24 horas.

Para vivir en un AFCH, un miembro debe cumplir ciertas medidas de residencia, decididas por regulaciones de Florida y por las reglas de admisin del proveedor. familiares o amigos El cuidado de hospicio es ofrecido a travs de un enfoque de equipo. Tambin hay disponibles servicios para duelo y consejera para familias antes y despus de la muerte de un miembro.

Centros de enfermera tienen cuidado de enfermera, personal y asistencial para miembros que estn enfermos o que no pueden cuidar fsicamente de s mismos. Los centros de enfermera son para miembros que necesitan cuidado de enfermera las 24 horas del da, los 7 das de la semana y tienen problemas graves de salud que dificultan el manejo de la vida diaria. Los miembros deben pagar su responsabilidad del paciente segn lo determinado por el Department of Children and Family Services.
