Project History - 1997- Present

We have summarised below a selection of our projects to date. Further information on individual projects may be available on request subject to client confidentiality. Cranswick PLC – UK

o Concept through detailed design and project management for a new chilled sliced meats factory and

three-storey offices covering more than 16000 m2, (172,220sqft).

Multinational Food Company - Middle East

o Full conceptual design, food facility specialist input into detailed design and project management for

a new factory currently under construction serving multiple outlets across the GCC.

Quattro Foods – UK

o Design and project management for a new water treatment plant, to treat process water effluent

containing meat, vegetable matter, and rice.

Alpha Flight Services - Sharjah Airport - UAE

o Conversion of disused storage room into a new food-court in the Department of Civil Aviation VIP

terminal on behalf of Alpha Flight Services.

Garuda Indonesia ( Airline ) - Jakarta

o Specialist design engineers to PT Aerofood Indonesia, responsible for the design of a new airline meal manufacturing unit to be built in Jakarta, serving both frozen and chilled meals.

Emirates Flight Catering Company – Dubai

o Lead Consultants for a new flight catering and frozen ready meal production facility which manufactures a range of airline and catering meals to Emirates Airline and other clients within the United Arab Emirates, Middle East and overseas. We worked with Emirates to develop the conceptual layout and operating methodology of the facility, and once agreed, were responsible for the detailed structural and architectural design, and liaison with the main building and MEP contractors. Currently producing over 150,000 ready meals per day, the facility has won a number of awards.

Djibouti Catering - Djibouti

o Design and project management of a new airline meal production unit in East Africa.

Emirates flight Catering “Linencraft” - Dubai o Design and project management of a new high care airline & hotel laundry facility in Dubai.

Capable of washing, ironing and folding 60T of linen per day.

Al Islami Foods - Dubai

o Design of a new halal chicken & beef added value facility to be built in Dubai. Masterbaker Marketing - Dubai

o Carried out a site wide operational review, looking at methods of operating methods, systems and procedures in the manufacturing, storage and distribution facility in Jebel Ali in the UAE, comprising ingredient importation and egg pasteurisation & packaging. Following the revisions to the method of operating and provided guidance in updating procedures.

Food and Fine Pastries Ltd – Saudi Arabia & Egypt

o Investigation and resolution of under-performing processing equipment in the Cairo manufacturing unit.

o Worked with the main board of Sunbulah Foods, one of the largest suppliers of meat, bakery

and pizza in the middle east, on the development of 5 year business plan together with feasibility study into process flows, building modifications and new equipment in the two main manufacturing facilities in Saudi Arabia.

CSM - Holland

o Worked with CSM personnel on a number of sites throughout the UK, Europe and the Middle East, investigating plant efficiencies, manning levels, process flows, etc.

Servair - France

o Servair are part of Air France and are the world’s third largest airline catering and facilities management company. We are the project partners for Servair, and worked with them on the design and construction of a new facility in Africa.

Ernst & Young - UK

o Working on behalf of E&Y, on company audit and development of full recovery package for

high quality preserves manufacturing facility. Managed production facility on their behalf

during recovery to profitability.

Brookfield Foods Ltd - UK

o Phased construction and specialist fit out of a meat processing & packing plant. Full high & low risk manufacture of a range of cooked meats & added value products

o Equipment installation with slicing lines, vacuum packing, rapid cooling systems. New HVAC with filtered air, mechanical & electrical service, water treatment devices

Broadheath Foods Ltd - UK

o New high bay link warehouse with new processing, storage and chilled order despatch for

cakes, bread, jams and fruit based products manufacturing.

Haydens Bakery - UK

o Goods inwards upgrade including building modifications, new recipe preparation / weigh facilities, pallet racking.

o New chilled despatch extension, together with new traywash, ventilation system, building

modifications, despatch dock, and additional refrigeration. Memory Lane Cakes Ltd - UK

o Two year project to redesign, upgrade and expand a 24 hr/7 day specialist baking and food preparation facility to produce sweet & savoury products for high street retailers. Carried out whilst the factory was in full production throughout the project. ( the refurbished areas may be seen as the new white roof areas on the photo below.) This included demolition of existing production areas, construction of new production buildings, new drainage, walls and specialist floors, together with refurbished and new equipment.

o Specification and installation of new raw material silos, improved processing systems, production changes, re-designed warehousing and despatch with new loading bays. Design and construction of new chill stores and despatch coldstore

o Demolition of old building, creation of new facility for transfer and re-installation of an automated baking plant for chocolate coated products

o Conversion of out-of-use facility into new bakery unit. Refurbishment of travelling oven, installation of traywash, construction of mezzanine floor, upgrade to offices, etc.

o Design and construction of a new 800m² warehouse and car parking facilities for 130 cars. o

Elisabeth the Chef Ltd - UK

o Conversion of an existing building to create low/high care production which produces a range of fresh cream added value products for major High Street Retailers.

o Redesign and total rebuild of a fire damaged factory. New production plant, in line baking,

high care product assembly and purpose built despatch facility. Completed in record time to fulfil commitments to major multiples

Continental Fine Foods Ltd - UK

o Creation of new meat storage & production facility into an existing building. New 1800 pallet chilled picking store & distribution. High Care production area with semi-automated slicing and packing lines for cooked meats and cheese

o Construction of a new processing area extension, together with refrigeration, drainage system, positive filtered air, and new mezzanine storage floor.

Brace’s Bread Bakery Ltd - UK

o Installation & commissioning of new state of the art automated bread baking system, including new and refurbished 40T silos, in – line prover, travelling oven, fully automatic tin store & the associated conveyors and packing lines.

Nicholas and Harris – UK

o Project and CDM management for the refurbishment of an industrial bakery while in 6 day

per week production supplying the major supermarkets.

o Removal of asbestos roofing tiles to replace with a modern composite panel system.

o Review of bakery and MEP systems and installation.

o Management of the installation of a new travelling oven and electrical refurbishment of the

factory.

In addition, we have also managed many smaller projects including the design of a preserves facility supplying high end specialist outlets in the UK, re-design of a vegetable & salad processing unit, assessment of a 40km² farm in Ethiopia and others.
