Berlin is quite different to other German cities:- Bikes are more relevant for workplace trips than for
leisure trips- 42% of all households don´t have a car- Trips by bike are half of all trips by bus and tram/metro- The use of streets by car is decreasing Modal shift in Berlin

Central project idea:
• Employees of participating
companies and institutions will
get a specified number of e-
bikes for one of the test cycles
for a low rental fee per month.
• The participation was free of
charge.
• The usage behaviour will be
evaluated.
• The needed infrastructure
(parking facilities, charging
infrastructure) will be provided.
