The Joint Crediting Mechanism(JCM) encourages cooperation between Japanese and Indonesian institutions to promote implementation of low carbon development activities in Indonesia.

The Scheme : TheJFJCMseekstoincreasethesustainabilityofADB-financedandadministeredprojectsthroughtheuseofadvancedlowcarbontechnologies.TheuseofgrantsundertheJFJCMwilldemonstratetheeffectivenessoftheJCMandprovideasourceofadditionalfundingtoeligibleADBdevelopingmembercountries(DMCs).

Purpose:ThefundaimstoprovidefinancialincentivesfortheadoptionofadvancedlowcarbontechnologiesinADB-financedandadministeredsovereignandnon-sovereignprojects.TheJFJCMwillprovidegrantsandtechnicalassistancetoADBprojectsutilizingtheJointCreditingMechanism(JCM).
