ABOUT HONEYWELL WEB-C3036 or CIPer MODEL 30 CONTROLLER

CIPer Model 30 is a unitary IP edge controller (interchangeably called IPC or ipc) designed by Honeywell.

The controller device series is WEB-C3036. It is designed for Variable Air Volume (VAV), unitary and plant applications. You can use the CIPer Model 30 controller for aggregating the real-time information—alarms, trends, and history. In future, the controller will also be able to further integrate the aggregated information to the Sentience Cloud for value-added data analytics.

Installation The installation section provides the details on the installation process and all the required files needed for using CIPer Model 30 programming tool.

Prerequisites

To be able to install the CIPer Model 30 programming tool on your laptop or computer system, you should fulfill the following prerequisites list.

• Valid CIPer Model 30 programming tool license with ‘IPVAV’ and ‘globalCapacity’ features. Even though there is no point limit on the IPVAV, the point limit which is less is taken into the consideration. The ‘globalCapacity’ point limit is 50, so 50 is considered as a point limit.

Operating Systems Niagara 4.7

Windows 7 (64-bit) Yes

Windows 8.1 (64-bit) Yes

Windows 10 (64-bit) Yes

For a detailed matrix of supported operating systems, refer to the Niagara-Central Knowledge Article-Supported Operating Systems And Relational Database Servers For Niagara Installations.

Note:

To install Niagara on a Windows host, you must be logged in to Windows as a user with administrator privileges.

Supported Web Browsers

In the UserService folder under Station >Config > Services in the Nav tree, the Default Web Profile must be Default Wb Web Profile. This is useful when you need to access and control the CIPer 30 controller remotely. The default value for Default Web Profile is HTML5 Hx Profile, which is not supported.

Note:

• CIPer Model 30 programming tool supports all modern browsers, but support is limited only to few views. When you do not have workbench access, use Web Start to get the complete access to all the views.

• All the latest versions of web browsers have disabled support for NPAPI, which prevents the Java Wb Applet from running in Niagara 4. You can use another browser that supports the plugin, or use the HTML5 HxProfile.

• User gets reported with a Communication error during baseboard firmware upgrade, if a station is in running state. The workaround is to proceed with downloading the baseboard firmware after a station is stopped and wait for 2 minutes.

License Requirements and Behaviors

Following is the list of licensing requirements for CIPer Model 30 programming tool.

• If the CIPer Model 30 programming tool is not licensed, any of the components in the tool does not function.

• You need to have CIPer Model 30 programming tool license with ‘IPVAV’ and ‘globalCapacity’ features. Even though there is no point limit on the IPVAV, the point limit which is less is taken into the consideration. The ‘globalCapacity’ point limit is 50, so 50 is considered as a point limit.

• The Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) is valid for the life of the CIPer Model 30 programming tool.

Getting License Files

1. Check the Niagara license server to see if you have the license. If there is no license for the host ID generated, the installation window displays the information on ordering the license from Tridium.

2. Copy the host ID and request the Niagara N4 Honeywell Webs license for the copied host ID.

3. Follow any of the following method to get the license files:

When you receive the Webs license or certificate files, you can either:

• Start Niagara and let the application automatically fetch the license files from the Niagara license server.

Or

Manually copy the license files into the Niagara license folder.

Note:

Page 6: Programming Tool for WEB- C3036 / CIPer Model 30 Controller · HONEYWELL IPC PROGRAMMING TOOL 31-00206EFS 4 ABOUT HONEYWELL WEB-C3036 or CIPer MODEL 30 CONTROLLER CIPer Model 30 is

If Niagara application does not find the license files or cannot connect to the Niagara license server, you must copy the appropriate files into the license folder. When you receive the license file from Tridium, it is in a compressed file and you need to extract that file.

After extracting the compressed file, you should have the following two licenses and two certificates under license and certificate folders respectively.

• Honeywell.license-‘IPVAV’ and ‘globalCapacity’ features should be present

• Webs.license

• Honeywell.certificate

• Tridium.certificate

To manually copy and paste the license files:

1. Copy the Honeywell.license and Webs.license files from the extracted folder.

2. Navigate to the Niagara license folder (for example, C:\Honeywell\WEBsStation).

3. Paste the Honeywell.license and Webs.license into the licenses folder.

4. Copy the Honeywell.certificate file from the extracted folder and paste it into the certificates folder (for example, C:\Honeywell\WEBsStation). The certificates folder should already contain the Tridium.certificate file.
