Product Life Cycle Policy
The normal product life cycle of FTDI`s microchips is in excess of 5 years. When it comes to end of
life FTDI will follow the FTDI End of Life Policy (FTDI document No: FT_000142).
A reduced product life cycle may occur if the technology or processes used in the manufacture of a
particular device becomes redundant at the semiconductor foundry. In this exceptional case FTDI will
analyse the market potential to determine if there is a case to develop a compatible replacement
product.
This Product Life Cycle Policy supersedes any previous FTDI Product Life Cycle Policy as of the date
of release indicated above.
