Business ScenarioCamden Manufacturing is a very busy successful company that has

experienced continual growth with almost 100 people in the office. About 4 years ago a directive came from management to start tracking work time, vacation, overtime, illness and project hours. Without a formal system in place they were resourceful and started saving the data in Excel files. As time progressed the administrative staff realized that more and more time was required to compile useful reports. Every month-end, quarterly and annual report was increasingly difficult with the volume of data accumulating.

Double clicking on a task in the main screen pops up the Edit Issue screen. The creator of this issue can edit any field. Any other user can add a comment which can optionally be e-mailed to the creator.

CAD administrators at different locations enter new issues into their local database. The database is replicated daily to update both sites. Users can query data based on key words, or other criteria. A very effective multi-site application.

The defined series of tasks within an organization to produce a final outcome. Sophisticated workgroup computing applications allow you to define different workflows for different types of jobs. So, for example, in an Engineering setting, an ECN might be automatically routed from Engineering to Manufacturing to approve for production. At each stage in the workflow, one individual or group is responsible for a specific task. Once the task is complete, the workflow software ensures that the individuals responsible for the next task are notified and receive the data they need to execute their stage of the process.

The workflow for Engineering Change objects (ECR, ECN etc.) represents the business process utilized in your company.

Time And Attendance System

This system enables a manager to see the status of employee

reporting and approvals made to date. Various

reports can be generated by person,

project or category (accounting code).

Entries can be made daily against multiple projects. Totals are

tracked by day, week and project.

Double clicking on an hour entry shows the category codes for

specific cases. This can be customized to meet

your company requirements.
