  • Prince Albert Raiders Game Notes RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders ran out of gas in the 6th and final game of their road trip, falling 5-1 to the Silvertips in Everett on

    Wednesday night. 19-year-old centre Shane Danyluk opened the scoring 5 minutes into the first period, but it was the only goal

    the Raiders would get as Everett scored twice in the period followed by a pair in the second period and their fifth goal in the third

    to solidify the win. 20-year-old goaltender Cole Cheveldave stopped 25 of 30 shots faced in a losing cause.

    VS THE ICE: The Raiders are 1-2-0-0 against the Ice this season, taking the win in the only previous meeting in Prince Albert. 18-

    year-old centre Leon Draisaitl has 3 assists in the season series while 19-year-old winger Dakota Conroy has a goal and 2 helpers

    for 3 points.

    PLAYOFF RACE: The Raiders are currently two points back of the 9th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

    ROAD WARRIOR: 19-year-old centre Shane Danyluk scored 4 of his 7 goals on the season on the Raiders recent road trip. He

    has surpassed his previous career high of 22 points in a season with 23 on the campaign.

    CLEAR CHEMISTRY: 18-year-old centre Leon Draisaitl has assists on 5 of 18-year-old defenceman Josh Morrissey’s last 6 goals,

    while Morrissey has picked up a point on 7 of the last 10 goals scored by Draisaitl.

    FISTS OF FURY: 19-year-old winger Chance Braid has engaged in 11 fights this season, passing his previous career high of 8 set

    last year. 8 of his 11 tilts have come at the Art Hauser Centre.

    TAKING ADVANTAGE: The Raiders power play has scored on 61 of its 247 opportunities for a 24.7 % conversion rate, good for

    second in the WHL.

    SETTING THE PACE: 18-year-old centre Leon Draisaitl has recorded points in 45 of 56 games played this season. The Raiders are

    2-9-0-0 when the import centre does not hit the scoresheet this year.

    ALONE AT THE TOP: 18-year-old defensemen Josh Morrissey has set the Raiders franchise record for goals in one season by a

    defenceman with 23 on the year. Emanuel Viveiros set the previous record of 22 in 1985-86.

    RAIDERS RANKED: 18-year-old centre Leon Draisaitl has been ranked 2nd among North American skaters by NHL Central

    Scouting Service’s recent Midterm rankings for the 2014 NHL Draft, making him the highest ranked player in the WHL. 17-year-old

    forward Reid Gardiner holds down the 40th spot on the list, the 11th highest player in the WHL. .

    MILESTONES: 20-year-old defenceman Graeme Craig will played in his 325th career game on Friday night. 18-year-old defence-

    man Josh Morrissey recorded his 100th career assist on Saturday, and is 2 points shy of 150. 18-year-old centre Leon Draisaitl

    scored his 50th career goal last night and is 6 points shy of 150. 19-year-old winger Dakota Conroy is 4 games from 200.

    UPCOMING GAMES: The Raiders continue their 4-game home stand on Tuesday against the Warriors before hosting the Calgary

    HItmen on Friday and the Brandon Wheat Kings on Saturday. They ravel to Moose Jaw on the 11th before facing the Pats in Regina

    on the 1th. The Green and Gold close out the regular season with a home and home series with the Saskatoon Blades, starting on

    Friday March 14th at the Art Hauser Centre.
