there is one of them which

stands out as his most favorite. This is

our most favorite till date and guess will

remain so forever due to the immense

struggle and pain it has taken to get this

work out. This ‘Gyan’ as passed on by

Shri A V Sundaram from his knowledge

of the nadis might fulfill his Rishi debts

but for us it is akin to being given water

after a thirst of say thousands of years.

talking about the 2010

World Mundane Astrology

Conference for some specific reasons but

it was a great meet of the finest in

astrology conducted in Oct, 2010 at Vizagby Guru Sivananda Murthy ji. We had

presented some new methods of BSP

which had not been revealed by us so far in our writings in this magazine. The audience

of 350 was largely comprising of non astrologers but having some knowledge of astrology.

Hence before the start of the impromptu lecture we said something which has been our

favorite topic and the details flows something like this (writing from memory) and we

have often repeat it in many conferences before 2010.

‘Astrology was never the science of predictions though now it has become one now and we

astrologers are guilty of making our clients and the human race addicted for predictions. Astrology

was always the science of understanding our Karmas, as to who we were and what was our

karmas. But today if a chart is shown to an astrologer, not a single astrologer can even come close

to deciphering the real past, present & future Karma of the individual and this clue is only left for

us by the readings of the Rishis in the nadis.

The Future generation of children especially the Indigo Children will be merciless to us allcurrent & past generation of astrologers. They are going to ask us some very simple questions that

‘we all have been telling for thousands of years that astrology is a science of karma so how come we

are unable to find out what is the karma that we have done to beget a Gajakeshari Yoga, to beget a

Kalpadruma Yoga or a Parijata Yoga. How come we astrologers are also not able to tell the exact

story of the karmic event and yet claim that we have done research in astrology or we are one of

the greatest astrologers ever’?

Even if we cannot find out the exact story behind our begetting a Gajakeshari Yoga or

Hamsa Yoga, can we atleast find out the ‘General Karma’ that we might have done to beget such a

yoga in our charts. Why is it so important to get a scriptural evidence behind this karma is so that

we tell all the clients who visit us that this is the story behind so and so yoga and this is the bad

karma or good karma that you did to get this yoga in your chart. What will be the result of this is

that clients who go back will think ohh I have a mangal dosha in my chart and the astrologer said it

is due to treating the wife badly or taking dowry or harassing in laws for more dowry then I must

correct the karma in this life. Then the client might really think in his worst times that so and so

bad events are happening due to his previous bad karma and he can change it now and his present

karma would change if he is influenced by your reading. This in turn will affect the consciousness

of Earth and earthquakes and Tsunamis would not occur much. Our consciousness must change

otherwise what has the 9H oriented astrologer done apart from giving remedies and mantras to his

client, just created a bull headed human who still goes back to his old ways of cheating or lying,

who no doubt at times becomes a vegetarian at the astrologers instance to do some ritual but in his

day to day life, he hurts humans and eats them alive. What is the use of your astrology if your

politician clients or celebrity clients are still the same, your astrology is ZERO. Has the politician



resorted to Gandhian ways of being honest, if not then you as an astrologer can be called the

greatest researcher but be ZERO in front of the eyes of the Rishis. There is no 99% in this1.

As we spoke the audience was thinking and realized that this concept of understanding our

‘Real Karma’ behind the yogas that are present in our charts are not known to modern astrologers

inspite of all researches in last 100 years, event the general karma is not known to us. Weexplained our struggle in finding the answer to this question and till date no astrologer has been

able to find this or probably (repeat probably) even ‘strongly voice’ on this or ask this question.

This frustration we have been repeating in every conference and did so in front of his Holiness

Shankaracharya during the Hyderabad conference where Iranganti Rangacharya was awarded the

Life Time Achievement Award.

Coming back to the World Mundane Astrology conference, for a moment we were scared as

great astrologers and a realized soul cum fantastic astrologer like ‘Guru Shivananda Murthyji’

was present there. Would he feel offended that we spoke like this in a World Conference that hehad organized, we were not afraid since he came across as a humble soul who later on said to us 5-6

times that ‘With BSPs you have given something revolutionary to the Jyotish world, you have

made us think’. But BSPs were not the question, we were scared that some of the great elders and

seniors like James Kelleher, Madura Krishnamoorthi ji, Gayatri Devi Vasudev, K N Rao, David

Frawley etc were present in the audience and would they feel offended by our vocal speech by this

young Saptarishis Astrology magazine which is only 3 years old whereas each one of them have

spent 40 to 70 years in astrology.

In the night we spent time thinking ‘Oh Lord, how can we get the answer to the Yogas in

our chart and the past life karma associated with it’. A dream about an individual woke us up and

it was a disturbing dream, it was around 5.15 am and out of the blue we sent an sms to Mr. A V

Sundaram who was present in the same hotel. He replied to us, ‘come to my room, now’. As we

reached his room we found him doing prashna for the dream and then after that he went to his

suitcase and removed a small diary out. Having worked intimately with Shri C S Patel we knew

that all astrological information is there in the head of great astrologers and if there is something in

their diary then it’s the rarest of rare information that they don’t want anyone to get their hands

on and also that information is something that is intricate and not a one liner technique. So we saw

Mr. Sundaram removing his diary out and said ‘You raised a question which till date no one has

raised and hence here is your answer’. He started speaking Tamil verses from nadi and then

translating them into English, we were noting it down in a small piece of paper, it was the results

of various yogas and what was the Karma done in previous life due to which one got that yoga in

his chart. Joy knew no bounds as we had pondered on this question for years and were frustrated

that there was no available answer for it. The modern man can understand our desire to be akin to

having Angelina Jolie or Aishwariya Rai as his loved one but never able to even have a view or

talk with her. We realized that around 1.5 years back Mr Sundaram was also present in the

conference of Iranganti Rangacharya ceremony where we had voiced the frustration regarding

Yogas and Past Life.

Later Ms Andree Leclerc joined that discussion and was patiently hearing it. It was 8.30 am

now and we all had to go down to attend the conference. We requested her to complete thisdiscussion with Mr. Sundaram as she would be staying near Mr. Sundaram in Hyderabad, as fate

would have it she had to leave India for few months and the notes that we had taken down was also

lost, and also the audio recording was lost due to mismanagement from our end. Though Andree

came back to India she could never complete this conversation with Mr. Sundaram and he would

not allow it to be recorded. He being of the traditional lot believes that Nadi knowledge should be

given on One-On-One basis only and not via a medium. Months passed and it was a constant

source of stress if and when we would meet Mr. Sundaram again and if he would once again give

that knowledge out. As fate would have it all of a sudden Mrs. Norah Nasturas from Canada, oneof our team members decided to come to India giving us a 1.5 month notice to organize her stay and

a teacher for her. We decided her mentor had to be Mr. Sundaram after some thought and then

along with her one fine day we parked for 7 days in Hyderabad city where Mr. Sundaram is

located. For 5 days we were not getting the opportunity to spend time alone with beloved Mr.

Sundaram, finally on the 2 nd last day we got the opportunity and took this interview with him on

the same topic, recorded it partially which finally Ms Andree Leclerc has kindly and painstakingly

transcribed in text format for the Jyotish community. We are attaching an audio file of the

conversation between us and Mr. Sundaram, it’s an impromptu talk and ideally speaking it should

not be let out. Somewhere in the conversation you would find some additional material and also the

source of his knowledge behind what you are about to read.

At the end of the conversation Mr. Sundaram said ‘So far I have had 1 ’s of students in

ICAS but no one asked this question about Yogas and Past Life and hence seeing the sincere

dedication of Saptarishis Astrology I have parted with this knowledge which to no one till date I

parted ever.’ That was the award of all our hard work that finally it is coming out to the world

community.

If after all this, you as an astrologer change & become a human, your karma changes for the

better and also of your clients, even if it happens just 1% then the only goal of magazine

‘Saptarishis Astrology & Its Volunteers’ would have been achieved and we would die in peace.

You are requested to ponder for hours on each sentence below though it is not in article format but

more of a ‘Notes Format’. Lastly we must thank Andree Leclerc, Norah Nasturas for playing their

part in direct or indirect manner in this article coming out. Mr. Sundaram would not give the tamil

verses though in the audio recording somewhere you would find some tamil being spoken by him as

he read the verses out, in the very first recording which has been lost by us he had given the shlokas

in tamil at many places in the conversation. When we insisted on photocopying his diary for



reproducing the tamil shlokas so that scholars would believe in the authenticity of this knowledge,

he said like a true old timer, ‘they need to throw their intellect out and first develop faith & trust

when it comes to nadi knowledge’. In olden days one would never ask the Guru to quote shlokas to

double check his knowledge, Gurus word was enough and if Guru felt the shlokas needs to be given

he would do so but in modern times this loophole has lead to a lot of internet paramparas.

Let us not delay further what you have to read but think about all that has been written andalso not written, think about it for days till it becomes a nagging thought to decipher more and

maybe your Jyotish Nadi in the body will burst open revealing much more. – SA Publisher.

Y ogas Past Life Results - In Conversation with Mr. A. V. Sundaram

Note: The names of these Yogas are taken from regional words

– Readers may want to check the original Sanskrit

Ruchika Yogaf Saturn aspects there is no Yoga, this yoga comes in this life since you have taken

care of brother and if you desert your brother in last life, then in this life there will beYoga Bhanga (Saturn’s aspect).

Remedy: If there is Yoga Bhanga then help others in brother-like manner and Saturn

would give benefic results of Ruchaka Yoga.

Bhadra Yoga

f Mercury becomes paapi (Lord of malefic house or kendradipathi dosha) & is

aspected by either 6th, 8th or 12th lords then it is Yoga Bhanga. For a Virgo Lagna,Merc is not paapi as 10L & Lagna Lord. For Gemini, it is a papi i.e.

Kendradipatidosha and must be aspected by one of 6th, 8th or 12th Lords, both conditions

must be there. Past Life: In the past life, if you taught your disciples what you have learnt, then in this

life one gets Bhadra Yoga. If you die without teaching, then it’s a Yoga Bhanga.

Remedy: Teach in this life what you have learnt, teaching with open heart2 in guru-

shishya context – sharing is different: you share with equals.

Hamsa Yoga

upiter becoming paapi and joining paapi, that’s a Yoga Bhanga. The exception here isif Guru aspects those paapis. When Guru joins them, it’s Yoga Bhanga but when he

aspects them, these paapis will give the results of the Hamsha Yoga – that means he

transfers them the power of the result of this yoga, with his 5 or 9 aspects. Papi for

Jupiter means from Mithuna or Kanya Lagnas or as Lord of 6, 8, or 12 houses. Malefics in

5H or 9H from Jupiter will have the power to give the yoga – Jupiter transfers the results

of this yoga to them.

Past Life: He has constructed a Shiva Temple and he got the yoga. If he has (illegally)taken Shiva Temple property then Yoga Bhanga applies.

Remedy: If you can’t give the property back to whom it belonged, then do service to the

temple.

Another example: A native has Hamsha Yoga, perfect, no aspect of Saturn-Ketu or

paapis, but his Guru is vakri – that means, he has some left-over work from his past life.

And Guru is vakri in the constellation of Shani. Shani should aspect according to theBhanga rule. So, his left-over work, he is now doing by doing service to the Shiva temple.

Though his chart does not show any Yoga Bhanga, because Guru is vakri, in his last life,

he should have done this – that means there should have been Yoga Bhanga in his last

life. That’s why he is in the constellation of Shani and, Shani is also vakri. So, if a planet

is in a constellation and both are vakri, then they also have direct relationship with the past life.

Malavaya Yoga

or Shukra, if Mars aspects Yoga Bhanga occurs.

Past Life: You get the yoga since you have taken care of wife properly in past life.

If you beat, scold, ill-treat your wife you get Yoga Bhanga. Even if Shukra is yogakaraka,

he will not give the results. Even if one has good yoga of Malavaya and even if Shukra is yogakaraka, if one ill-treats

the wife in present birth then good results of this yoga will not manifest – though it is to

do with past life. If anything from the past is repeated here, the effect is felt. All effects

of the yogas given, you are not expected to repeat it.

Remedy: take good care of one’s wife, that’s all. (We can’t say take care of others’ wives…

Shukra is basically one’s wife – younger sister etc. was not given here).

Sasa Yoga

f you take care of your servants in past life then Sasa Yoga occurs in this life. When

Mars aspects, Yoga Bhanga happens. Why Mars? For all karma, Rahu, Saturn, Mars

are the planets to show your past life effects. Mars is your energy right? And Saturn

is the 3L (from Sagittarius, Jiva’s moolatrikona) – in changing your Fate, we see the 3H

and that is the reason why Saturn is given. And Rahu is given because it is vakri. So

Bhanga here shows that in his last life, he has hurt servants.

Remedy: Take care of servants

Sunapa Yoga

lanets in 2nd to Moon except Sun.

Intelligent, self earning in good ways without cheating others earning things. If

Sun is 2nd to Moon, then one earned in wrong ways in the past life. If Sun is 2nd to

Moon then the guidance the astrologer should give is to avoid earning in wrong ways toavoid suffering – that is the message of this yoga.

Anapa Yoga

ny planet in 12th to Moon except Sun.

He is famous, well placed and wealthy in life, disease less body and frustration

in later part of life. In last life whatever he has earned he has spent in charity

and dharmic activities. If Sun in 12th to Moon, then he has spent in wrong way.

Remedy: Spend it out in charity purposes.

Durdhara Yoga

Moon having planets in 2nd and 12th from it excepting Sun. A combination of the two

yogas above.

Kemudruma Yoga

oon having no planets on either side. Aspiring for others’ property and giving

pain to others in the past life is the reason for this yoga in this life. No specific

remedy given as these Bhangas mean “don’t do it”. Vesi Yoga

lanets in 2nd to Sun except Moon.

Good education, good position. Even if he doesn’t have wealth, he is helping

others out of good heart despite the fact that he may not have sufficient wealth –

this is the good karma for which he has gotten this yoga.

Vashi Yoga

lanets in 12th to Sun except Moon.Good wealth, good children.

Just keeping his own earnings, leaving his father’s property to others, getting the

blessings of elders in the past life. One with Moon in 12th to Sun, if he takes the father’s

property for himself, he’ll suffer.

Ubhayachari Yoga

lanets in 2/12 to Sun except Moon.

Atma balam, good food, good sleep.

Staying with Father, taking care of parents’ sukha dukha (taking care in bad

periods) in past life, you get this yoga in this life. Anyone with this yoga should be advised to

take care of father to avoid spoiling this good yoga.

Subha Kartari Yoga

un is with benefic planets and benefics are on both sides of Sun.

He is a prophet, a vaidya, good person. In past life, he has taken care of the father-in-law like one’s own father hence this good yoga is gotten. So, one with this yoga

should be advised to take care of his father to continue the yoga so that one need not suffer –

this auspicious activity should be continued life after life. And if malefics are there, then

Yoga Bhanga occurs like in the next yoga…

Papakartari Yoga

Both sides of the Sun having paapis.

Cleverly doing sins, fighting with enemies, insulting parents one gets this yoga.

Remedy: Every amavasya one must fast.

Subha Yoga

enefic in 2nd from Lagna without malefic aspect.

Speaks nicely, good education, respects woman – he must have done this in the

previous life to get this yoga.

Mahabhagya Yoga

un, Moon and Lagna should be in odd rasis, and the birth in daytime for males.

For females, Sun, Moon and Lagna should be in even rasis and birth at night.

Will do every job without creating any obstacles, doing it completely. Maha

Lakshmi’s blessings, make lot of money, except for his wife he did not think of others and

vice versa.3

Gajakeshari Yoga

e will talk with authority in Hall, he will have pride, wealth. If Jupiter or

Moon are in 6th, 8th or 12th to Asc or debilitated or combust, then it’s Yoga

Bhanga.

Past Life: Gave education to others, was good teacher so this yoga came, but because he

taught for money, it is now Yoga Bhanga.

Remedy: Teach free of cost.

We will note that teaching by charging a fixed cost is referred to as teaching for money

whereas teaching and accepting dakshina (whatever the student gives) is not considered

teaching for money. One result of the Bhanga is that the teacher might get insulted in

public – then he should know he has done it wrongly in the past.

Also, for this yoga (link) to occur between Jupiter and Moon, Moon should be behind Jupiter in degrees. Because Moon moves faster, it will join Jupiter and create that

Gajakeshari link. If Moon is ahead of Jupiter in degrees, then there will be problems in

Moon and Jupiter dashas and bhuktis.

3 Mr Sundaram does not speak of Yoga Bhanga here, we found a chart where Rahu aspects all the Sun, Moon and Asc,

the 3 components of this Yoga. Since Rahu a malefic is aspecting the Yoga, the said person is unable to complete any

task and faces lot of obstacles and before his marriage had lot of affairs with other women, especially foreigners (Rahu)

and has not made any money in life so far. – SA .

Sakata Yoga

upiter 6th, 8th or 12th to Moon.

He loses whatever he has earned little by little and getting it back occurs slowly, like

a wheel. The mind is wavering. If Moon or Jupiter occupies a Kendra to this Yoga,

then Yoga Bhanga occurs.

Past Life: Sakata Yoga came from earning by cheating others. Suppose one with Sakata

Yoga is doing business in this life, he should be advised not to cheat others.

If Yoga Bhanga occurs, then he should have spent money for charity4. So this can also be

a remedy in this life.

Remedy: Fast every Monday or Thursday and pray to Gauri and Shiva. Why Gauri and

Shiva? Guru for Gauri and Moon for Shiva.

Aadama Yoga

un and Moon in Kendra (4, 7, 10) to each other (not conjoined).

He cannot get money, vehicle, education. It came because of neglecting parents. If

Jupiter is aspecting the Moon then it is yoga Bhanga.

Yoga Bhanga came because he helped the parents through somebody (not directly) – such

as children putting their parents in elder’s residences (old age homes), they take care ofparents through the help of others.

Remedy: Amavasya fasting, Til Homam (Til - sesame seeds)

Sama Yoga

Moon in 2nd, 5th, 8th or 11th from Sun.

Results: Like previous yoga but less effect. Taking care of parents for some time and then

neglecting them. Above one was neglecting parents completely, here he takes care of themfor some time.

Remedy: Fasting on Amavasya

Varishta Yoga

This is a benefic yoga. Moon is 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th from Sun.

4 Interestingly one chart with us has Sakata Yoga and both Moon or Jupiter is not in Kendra to Asc, thus there is no

Yoga Bhanga but the dispositor of one of this planet is in 12H of charity and the native is involved in some charity

activity on his own without the guidance of an astrologer. Thus the remedy as prescribed by the Nadi in the above

Getting education, money, vehicle. The bad things of Aadama yoga are not there.

Thought he is away from parents – out station, he still helps the parents directly.

Vasumati Yoga

rom Moon or Lagna, all benefic planets are in Ubhachaya Rasis. Having wealth in

his own house, gave Daan (charity), performed Dharma, received blessings of

Dharma Devata.

Amala Yoga

Benefics in 10th to Lagna or Moon. Owner of lands, children, fame.

Why did he get the yoga? In past life he helped start business for others. His motto and aim is

that others should come up in life. There is no Bhanga for this but if a malefic is also there,

then it is reduced.

Pushkala Yoga

Asc Lord and Moon’s dispositor should be in Kendra to Lagna or Moon, this gives name,

fame, jewels. It came because for Vishnu Temple, the person offered Pushpa Daan

(flowers) and service to the temple.

Subhamala Yoga

All planets in 5th, 6th, 7th to Asc. Results are that he becomes a man of authority, has a

good wife and children. This Yoga came from treating everybody equal and not doing any

harm.

Asubhamala Yoga

All planets in 6th, 8th, 12th to Asc. Durmarga: evil minded fellow, causing trouble and pain

to others, ungrateful person, trying to make trouble between people. This yoga came

because, in spite of having lot of property, the person did not do charity and dharma work andwas only interested in making money, injuring the wife, taking father-in-laws property.

Remedy: Daily recite Gayatri mantra 24 times

Lakshmi Yoga

9th lord and Venus are in own house or exaltation, in kendra or trikona. Nitya mangalam,arogayam, wealth, good life. In past life, without fail every Friday he did Lakshmi Pooja

in the house and served Sumangalis.

Gauri Yoga

Moon exaltation, own house or kendra trikona and aspected by Dhanakaraka (wealth

significator) Jupiter.

Nice body, good character equal to a King. Fasting every Monday and in the evening

going to Parvati Parmesharwaram Temple and serving Shiva Shakti devotees, got this

yoga for him in this life.

Saraswati Yoga

Venus, Jupiter and Mercury in kendra or 2nd house with Jupiter in own house or

exaltation. Highly intellectual, mathematical knowledge, drama, world famous and

praised by everybody. Came from supporting pundits, constructing education

institutions, giving education to students in past life.

Srikantha Yoga

Lagna Lord, Sun, Moon in kendra trikona in own house or exaltation or in friendly

house.

Wearing Rudraksha mala, white body (fair complexion), complete devotee of Shiva and

does not accept other sects. Serving Shiva devotees he will reach Shiva Pada without

rebirth.

Sri Naga Yoga

Venus, 9th lord, Mercury in Asc, kendra or trikona, in own house or exaltation or friendly

house. Very intelligent, clever talker, recitation of puranic stories, giving lectures. This

man is totally Vishnu Bhakta, he will reach the Parama Padam without next birth.

Vringi Yoga

uru, Shani, Lagna Lord in Asc, kendra, trikona, in own house, exaltation,friendly house. He will be very intellectual, vaidicka karma, he will do religious

activity, good wife, children, name and fame. He was taking care of Veda

Brahmins who were involved in ritual things, he got the blessings of Brahma Deva.

So, Sun and Moon in the Lagna become Shiva, Venus, 9th lord and Mercury become

Vishnu while 5th Lord, Guru and Shani become Brahma.

Asubha Parivartana 12th lord in any one of the houses but that house lord is in the 12 th, same way for 6th and 8th

Lords. The person is paapi, with wavering mind, whenever he starts work there will be

problems, separating good families, making wife to suffer, giving troubles to the neighbors etc.

etc. was done in past life.

Remedy: Chant Gayatri 24 times and on Janma Nakshatra to do Till Homam

Sama Parivartana

3L in houses 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10 or 11 (removing houses 3, 6, 8 and 12) and that house lord

going in 3rd house. In past life, sometimes he spoke good words, sometimes bad words,

sometimes he had a good life, sometimes difficult life, and so on in this way.

Remedy: Doing Kula Devata (family diety) Pooja every year.

Maha Parivartana Yoga Parivartana (exchange) between any two of houses 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10 and 11. Blessings of

goddess Lakshmi, jewelry, good children, did not think bad of others, showed affection to

everybody, gave free medical help or aid to others.

Kakala Yoga

Dispositor of either Lagna lord or dispositor of 7th lord, should be in a trikona or kendra,

which should be his own house or exaltation. Will have good children. In past life,

husband & wife were very attached to each other.

Parvat Yoga

Lagna lord or 7th lord should be in Kendra or Trikona to Lagna. Steady finance, comfort.

It came because of providing free marriages for others and helping needy people. The

blessings of Parvati Parmeshara have come in this life.
