E/gin, 111. .4 self-contained filtration system designed to simplify the cleaning of hydraulic oils, acid baths, solvents, caustic solutions, and other fluids in machines, tanks, and barrels is now available from Yamada America Inc. Totally air-powered, the Yamada Por- table Filtration System is capable of processing up to 1,200 gph and can handle a wide variety of corrosive, vis- cous, and abrasive liquids. Both single- and dual-filter modes are available. The system consists of a Yamada NDP-20 polypropylene pump with polypropylene filter vessel, polypropy- lene bag or cartridge filter, and all nec- essary air control hardware mounted on a heavy-duty wheeled cart. The self-priming double-diaphragm pump operates on 70 psi at 15 scfm air pres- sure and will handle liquid tempera- tures as high as 180°F. Stainless steel construction is recommended for alka- lies, aqueous caustic, light oils, and solvents. The P80 pump is available in three standard sizes: 30-in. lengths for carboys, 40-in. lengths for drums, and 50-in. lengths for vats, tanks, and over- sized containers. Custom lengths are also available. All pump tube assem- blies are interchangeable. The pump tube can easily and quickly be con- nected and disconnected from the mo- tor. The P80 pump is driven by a high power, double-insulated 1,150-W mo- tor, and designed to drive the pump continuously at specific gravities up to 1.86.
