To ensure effective preparedness and necessary responses are available to deal with all potential emergency situation and accidents within Sime Darby Plantation to prevent or minimize losses property and environment.
To ensure accurate, adequate and effective information on Occupational, Safety and Health (OSH) is communicated to, from and within the Sime Darby Plantation and interested parties commitment of OSH policy
To provide guide to ensure all incidents are reported, investigated, corrected and prevented from recurring. This is in line with the commitment of the SDP OSH policy and vision. Reporting is via SMS-IT, an online-based reporting system.
To help the operations manage its ESH risks and legal compliance as well as realign SDP’s OSH policies and procedures
To ensure all OSH risks, inherent or residual, are effectively managed.

Hearing Conservation Programme
To comply with the regulatory requirements pertaining to the noise monitoring, audiometric testing and hearing conservation program.

Have not opened peat land for oil palm farming after 2010.

Best Practices Have not opened areas containing high conservation value (HCV)
areas after 2010. Located within the designated land use zoning of a nation. Have not used fire to open land or for replanting process after 2010. Respects Human rights (no child labor or forced labor). The Company adhere to the prevention of rivers/waterways pollution The usage of the chemicals categorized as World Health Organization
