Simple to Technological by Sean Broderson

When I learned, it was never with computers, cell phones, or iPods. It was always paper, pencil, textbook, and study guides. I feel like I have upgraded my sense of learning in PBL.

Inquiry

o Dinosaur Period: How can I do my part and make it creative?

o Game Board: What is the best way to get everybody involved?

o Graphing Design: How should I get this done so that it looks good to present?

Significance

o The importance to me is that it was either my creation or part of my knowledge that is in the project.

o Cell Phone Project: If you don’t listen to others ideas, it will your loss in the end. It is a group effort.

Perspective

o Cell Phone: Using mobile devices has changed my school life because it is so different than the older style.

o It also opens you to others ideas and knowledge with technology.

Evidence

o Dinosaur Period: I really wasn’t sure hoe to make the presentation creative, fun, and interesting.

o If you didn’t go and find out some evidence about your time period, you wouldn’t know anything.

Connection

o I had a connection with my Game Board project and the subjects math and science. I had no idea that there was any math or science involved in it, I thought that it was all going to be imagination and creativeness. When it came time to make the question cards was when the math and science came into place.

Supposition

o I’m predicting that next year will go better because I already know the power of the Macs and I want to stay on track with what I’m doing for my projects.

o Game Board: My group was on You Tube listening to music a lot and that distracted us from making our game. It’s not a good feeling when you have to scramble just to

get it done

Conclusion

o As a learner I think using technology has helped me in the classroom.

o Using the old textbook, paper/pencil style kind of holds me back from what I can do.

o Working in groups can distract me from what I’m supposed to do but it can also help me.
