THE WAY AHEAD:
Achieving Self-Sustaining Operation
- Requires increased funds under management
Managing Growth Effectively
- Requires coordinated and skilled volunteer support
Escalating Awards Outcomes
- Requires greater response to calls for fund applications
More people need to know about the Foundation’s Awards
programs and the mechanisms the Foundation has to support philanthropy to strengthen our community.

The Foundation’s operations are modest – volunteer driven with no permanent employees and no physical office.
Our operating costs, including professional portfolio management, awards events, audits, contracted services, etc are supported by:
Full self sufficiency will require net assets to grow to ~ $5 Million
fees on donor-advised funds of 1.25% of the annual investment return (0.5 % is directly for portfolio management)
fundraising (e.g. “Burger & Beer Nights”)
SUPPORT FOR FOUNDATION OPERATIONS:
invest. enrich. inspire.
Help us increase awareness about the Coquitlam Foundation – mention us to friends and contacts; suggest the Foundation as a
place for philanthropy that benefits the community
Support the Foundation by participating in our events – like our Grants and Awards night, our AGM, and our annual fundraiser
event “Kickin’ It Country”
Encourage qualified potential volunteers to consider the Coquitlam Foundation for service on our Board or Committees
OUR CALL FOR ACTION:
