The Cambridge Pathway leads

seamlessly from primary through to

secondary and pre-university years, for

5 to 19 year olds.

Introduction to the Cambridge Approach

The Cambridge approach to teaching and learning

Learning Ladders

Learning Ladders is an ongoing assessment tool.

Teachers use this each week to track children's progress.

This helps teachers to record what information the

children have learned and what information the children

need to know.

This assists with revision and planning future lessons.

Termly reports are based upon the children's ongoing

progress records on Learning Ladders and the test results

at the end of each term.

week. It should be returned on Tuesday.

May contain projects, worksheets, research,

Will most often be revision but may contain

new work to challenge the students.

Reading

Reading is essential. Your

child should read for at least

ten minutes every day.

Listen to them read, read

with them, read to them. Let

them see you read.

Guided Reading – Key Stage 2

This takes place each morning form 7.30 to 8am.

This is a chance for your child to practice their

reading in a structured manner with their teacher.

The children are exposed to a wide variety of

books and texts with activities based upon these.

Please ensure that your child arrives on time

every day.
