ACADEMIC PROJECTS Project 1-GRADUATION FASHION SHOW 2012-DENIM THERAPY

Team size: TwoDuration – 2 months

Project Description: This project dealt with Creatively Crafted Kaftans, jumpsuits, corsets, skirts, capris and one piece dresses with ‘Denim Therapy’ as the theme. Our collection was inspired by the combination of floral with denims where florals represent delicacy and denim exemplify rough tough look. The collection displays garments formed out of denim fabric with chunk elements from the old retired jeans, very creatively reforming into-completely unique and attracting silhouette and styles that

would be loved to be worn by the trendy youth. We have used various techniques like Riveting, weaving of fabric strips, cutwork etc and accessories made of MacrameA very sincere use of floral prints in the midst of the graduations of yellow, pink and green adds a soothing and elegant beauty to the garments. 

PROJECT 2-LAKME FASHION WEEK SUMMER/RESORT 2012 (Gen-next)-FFF:::FUN FALGUN FANTASY

Team size: TwoDuration – 3 months

Project Description: To describe our collection “Fun Falgun Fantasy” we need just two words Bright and Playful. Fashion is serious business but it can also be fun and that is what we wanted to express through our vibrant color palette and techniques that are full of life.Style elements like boots, hoods, belts, flaps, caps that are waterproof and other accessories that are also colourful, lightweight and a combination of geometric and abstract patterns have been used in our collection.Sandwork, Threadwork, multi-colored pencil shavings, coloured steamers etc along with lamination technique have been used to create detachable style elements and accessories
