PPPP Pier Paolo Pasolini (as) Painter

The artistic project that begins with “PPPP” is an attempt to investiga-te (or even to strengthen) a bond between cinematographical pictu-res - which are an essential share of visual culture of contemporary people - and the classical painting language and his public. It’s an homage to cinema but also an artistic research on its aesthetic values, as a father who’s looking in his offspring’s face similar linea-ments.Resubmitting “ready-made” images from a media to another one, precisely from digital screen to canvas, ennobling and heightening scenes from pixels to brushstrokes, is a pop operation that has the aim to make a conceptual -before than a physical one- shift of these pictures in order to move closer these differents languages and re-compose them in a deeper artistic unity.

For this reason, my idea is to broaden this research to many more movies.
