Ab- From, AwayAbdicate- (verb) to relinquish or give upWe live in a society that encourages us to abdicate responsibility by simply saying “it’s not my fault.”

Abhor- (verb) to loathe or hate extremely My mother abhors bugs and creepy things of any kind; she would never allow my brother to have a pet tarantula.

Abort- (verb) to stopThe mission to the International Space Station was aborted when it became clear that funds were not available for the journey.

Zymoscope (noun) instrument to measure fermentation When making wine, most vineyards employ a special tool called a zymoscope that measures the levels of fermentation.

Zymurgy (noun) the study of fermentation Modern wineries employ chemists that specialize in zymurgy to find the ideal level of fermentation for their wines.
