Streamlining all the processes in hospitals requires an integrated and scalable ICT solution, based

on open standards. The various technologies and applications which are used for collecting,

processing and managing all the information which refers to these processes – both internal and

external – are combined in one flexible and generic software package.

Hertz is a middleware package developed by Aucxis which links the information, that is collected by the different data collectors, and puts this information at the process applications' disposal in a consistent way.

Information through the different levels proceeds according to the EPC Global standard, and will be made available by means of the standard structure GS1 EPCIS or adapted protocols.

The package is scalable and modular and makes it possible to execute new implementations in phases and/or feed existing processes with the collected logistics data as well.
