    Use this step-by-step walk-through to install the PowerDialer for Sales-force. If the PowerDialer is already installed, jump to theConguration instructions.

    1. Navigate to the AppExchange to install the PowerDialer forSalesforce Package by pointing your browser to:

    http://appexchange.salesforce.com

    2. Search for the package by inputting PowerDialer into thesearch bar.

    3. Navigate to the PowerDialer page by clicking on the panel thatappears.

    4. Once youre on the main PowerDialer for Salesforce productpage, click the Get It Nowlink on the right.

    5. Use the Login to the AppExchangebutton.

    6. Enter your Salesforce username and password.

    7. Salesforce will take a moment to verify your credentials. Onceit nishes, youll be asked if you want to install the software in

    your production Salesforce system, or a sandbox.

    CONFIGURATION (TURN IT ON!)

    After completing installation, youll need to make some basic congu-

    ration changes to your Salesforce system. Follow these steps andsoon you'll be PowerDialing!

    First, congure your layouts to display the PowerDialer elds and theCreate List and Manage List buttons.

    Display the InsideSales User Fields

    1. Click on your name at the top of the screen and select Setup

    from the dropdown list. This changes the left column navigationto include all of the links you need to congure your PowerDi-aler.

    2. Navigate to Customize in the App Setup panel on the left, thenscroll down and click Users, then Page Layouts. Click to edit theuser layout.

    3. In the User Layout panel you'll nd 5 InsideSales elds: Admin,Authorization Token, Password, Subdomain, and Username.Select all of these elds, drag them to the Additional Informa-tion section below the Standard Fields section.

    4. Click Save in the User Layout section to complete this step.

    Display Activity Layout Fields

    1. Navigate to Customize, Activities, Task Page Layouts

    2. Create a new section by clicking on the pink Selection eld anddragging it to a location under the Task Information section.

    Use the default conguration for this section and name it some-thing like InsideSales.

    3. Locate the following elds in the Task Layout section and dragthem to the new InsideSales section:

    a. Call Date/Time

    b. Call Recording

    c. Callback Date/Time

    d. Call Duration

    e. Call Hour

    f. Call Lead Status

    g. Call Resulth. Call Ring Time

    i. Call Time Zone

    Display Create List and Manage Lists Buttons

    The next steps will be repeated for Activities, Leads, Accounts, Con-tacts, Opportunities, and Cases. The instructions are written for Activi-

    ties, so just replace that with Leads, Accounts, etc. as you repeat thesteps.

    1. Navigate to Customize --> Activities and click on the ActivitySearch Layouts link.

    2. Click Edit to the left of Activities List View.

    3. Select Create List and Manage Lists from the Available Buttonson the left and click Add to move them to the Selected buttonson the right.

    4. Click Save to complete this step.

    Repeat steps 1 through 4 for Leads, Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities,and Cases.

    Add Click-to-Call Interface

    1. Navigate to Customize --> Home and click on Home Page Lay-outs.

    2. Click on the name of the layout assigned to the users who willbe using the Click-to-Call feature. Click Clone, enter a name forthis new layout and click Save.

    3. Check the PowerDialer box and click Next.

    4. Choose an order for the components and click Save (or Save &Assign to assign the new layout to users as the next step).

    5. Navigate to Customize --> User Interface (a link at the bottomof the list) and check Show Custom Sidebar Components on AllPages. Click Save to complete this step.

    Add Dials Fields to Layouts

    As with the Create List and Manage Lists buttons you will repeat thenext steps for Leads, Contacts, and Accounts.

    1. Navigate to Customize --> Leads and click on the Page Layoutlink.

    2. Select Dials and LastCallTime from the available elds and dragthem to the layout (just under Phone is a convenient place tosee this information).

    3. Click Save to complete this step.

    4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for Contacts and Accounts.

    Set Up Network Access

    1. Navigate to Security Controls in Administration Setup and clickthe Network Access link.

    2. Click New and enter 64.90.204.227 in the Start IP Address eldand 64.90.204.235 in the End IP Address eld. Click Save tocomplete this step.

    Perform your rst Authorization of the PowerDi-aler

    IMPORTANT NOTE:If you are performing a sandbox installation, con-

    tact your InsideSales.com representative before proceeding withthe next steps of this guide.In order for your installation to be suc-cessful, we need to adjust a setting on your account on our end beforeyou go any further. If you are not performing a sandbox installation,disregard this note and continue.

    1. Click the + sign to the right of the tabs at the top of the screenthen click the InsideSales link in the alphabetized list (you maywant to add this tab to your layout by clicking Customize MyTabsand moving it from the Available Tabs to the SelectedTabs).

    2. Click Authorize the PowerDialer, enter your Salesforce User-name and Password, click Test Account Login. If you get themessage Login appears to be valid, continue by clicking Save.If you get any other message call us at 1-866-698-9989 and we'lltroubleshoot with you.

    3. Return to the InsideSales tab and you will nd your PowerDialerAdministration and Tools page. Navigate to any of the Object(Lead, Account, etc.) pages to see the Click-to-Call interface inthe left column and telephone numbers converted to dial links.

    Create a List and Start Calling

    1. Navigate to a list of leads or contacts

    2. Select one or more records by checking the box to the left of therecord

    3. Click the Create List button

    4. Give the list a name and click Save

    5. You can then either Launch the list or Close the window

    6. To see the list you have just created or load it later, simply click

    the Manage Lists button, located next to the Create List but-ton.
