Power Electrics is the largest independent generator specialist in the UK. Founded in 1963, and still run by the same family, we continue to grow on the solid founda-tions and values established over 50 years ago. Our reputation for excellence has been achieved by providing practical cost effective electric generators. We believe that ev-ery customer has a unique set of requirements.
Operating from the UK’s largest purpose-built generator depot in Bristol we play an important partner role to many of our customers. Our work touches on many aspects of modern life, adding value and enabling our clients to focus on their own core busi-ness.
Power Electrics continue to reinvest in new equipment and focus on developing key support services. Our company has over 200 employees throughout the UK, offering significant professional expertise and support.
We operate our own in-house transport fleet, providing a flexible, cost-effective de-livery service. Our fleet of crane equipped lorries are designed to accommodate our complete range of equipment and are tracked using the latest satellite technology. Delivered by our own experienced team of drivers we pride ourselves on being effi-cient and consistently reliable.

RENTAL OVERVIEW
Our Diesel Generator Rental Department is the doorway to solving your temporary power needs. We have over 50 years’ experience in deploying hire equipment. As the UK’s largest independent generator specialist our exten-sive fleet of diesel generators and ancillary products enable us to provide you with the complete power package, all backed up with 24/7 support.
Now as always, we work hard to develop in-novative hire products. Our fleet of gener-ators range from road-tow 10kVA units to multi-megawatt temporary solutions, each designed to meet the demanding needs of a wide range of applications and sectors.
We take an equal measure of pride in our sup-port services and that starts on delivery day. We offer a fast and cost-effective delivery ser-vice - provided by a driver from our in-house fleet, trained to offload and install the equip-ment correctly.

Our Super Silent Hushtower lighting sets are disigned to be positioned and erected in the minimum amount of time. They are extreme-ly versatile and safe to use, offering a vast amount of light and real value for money. Our highly experienced, customer focused sales team ensure that our customers are provided with a full sales service: from need assessments and site surveys through to a ful-ly designed solution. Our unrivalled range of generators, enclosures, and fuel and control systems means that your power needs will be matched completely.
Our highly experienced project engineers, site managers, in-house specialist electrical and mechanical installation and commission-ing engineers enable Power Electrics to pro-vide a full turnkey generator solution. Power Electrics is a main dealer for FG Wilson - the world’s largest manufacturer of diesel pow-ered generators.
SERVICE
Power Electrics reputation for service is sec-ond to none. All service engineers are highly skilled and fully conversant with all aspects of diesel power generation. This ensures an im-mediate and comprehensive response to any problems whether mechanical or electrical.
Our Service Department is available for the maintenance of customers existing plant and equipment at all times. This can be carried out either on site or at our fully equipped service workshops.
As part of our investment into the UK’s largest generator solutions depot, our newly devel-oped seven acre site incorporates a purpose built in house Acoustic Fabrication facility placing Power Electrics in the unique position of being able to offer the complete power solu-tion to our clients. The new facility enables all our customer requirements to be completed in one location.
FABRICATION
Power Electrics Parts Department carries a full range of spares and generator ancillary product lines. State of the art parts identifica-tion and ordering software, ensures you have access to the right parts, at the right time. The Parts and Service Helpdesks provide informa-tion and support.
PARTS
Power Electrics is Europe’s only accredited FG Wilson training centre. Our facilities now in-corporate a dedicated test cell and classroom where you can learn new skills, familiarise yourself with our products and develop best practice.

Power Electrics is proud to be an official product sponsor of Bloodhound SSC. Labelled a ‘global engineering adven-ture’ the Bloodhound project is an exciting research and development programme to build a supersonic racing car capable of setting a new 1000mph land speed record.
As part of a major ongoing sponsorship deal, Power Elec-trics is supplying the Bloodhound team with diesel genera-tors and ancillary equipment for their major events accross the UK. Most recently, we provided them with a FG Wilson 100kVA generator, 2000 litre external fuel tank and over 500m of cable for a promotional exhibit at the Farnborough International Air Show. This equipment was delivered on site by our specialist in-house transport fleet.

The FG Wilson XD100 generator is fuel efficient, easy to operate and robust to meet the rigorous requirements of the event indus-try. With a galvanised sound at-tenuated enclosure, it also offers excellent noise reduction.

In 2013, Power Electrics signed a three year sole supplier agreement with Western Power Distribution (WPD).
Power Electrics will supply a range of rental generators and equipment which includes static sets from 15kVA to 500kVA which can be lifted with a crane, containerised sets (750kVA - 2000kVA) on artic trailers and mobile sets (15kVA - 100kVA) as well as providing a complete 24 hour call out service. The agreement also includes a contract to service and maintain WPD’s own mobile generator fleet.
One of the key factors influencing the award of the contract is Power Electrics bespoke in-house transport which guar-antees a fast response when emergencies arise, covering the whole of the WPD network.
WPD is the electricity distribution network operator for the Midlands, South Wales and South West England, distribut-ing power to homes and businesses around the clock.
In July 2014, Power Electrics provided the temporary pow-er solutions for the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford. A combined power of 4.5MW was provided by rental generators ranging from 10kVA to 450kVA synchro-nising sets.
A complete fuel management service was provided to the Air Tattoo throughout the event. Purpose-built fuel tankers were on site to ensure the total of 55 generators did not run out of fuel at any time.
Along with diesel generator, mobile lighting towers were strategically placed around RAF Fairford to provide extra lighting in the car parks.
With upwards of 140,000 visitors and support from the Royal Air Force and some of the world’s leading aerospace companies, the Air Tattoo is acknowledged as not only the world’s largest military airshow but also one of the UK’s premier outdoor events for the whole family.
Power Electrics provided 55 rental specified diesel genera-tors ranging in size from 10kVA to 450kVA synchronising sets.
