possessive adjectives and noun. Instead of saying “my shoe”, you are

replacing it with “mine” I see your shoe but where is MINE? I have my ticket. Do you have YOURS?

Very important: Possessive Pronouns agree in gender and number with the possessed thing, not with the owner.
