ObjectivesCreate a new logo to represent a chosen company. Design amatching business card and letterhead that appropriately fit thecompany.

ProcessI decided upon the company that I wanted to represent and thenI began sketching. When I came up with something that lookedsound, I took to Adobe Illustrator to draw it all out. After feed backand critiques, I added as well as took away some elements here andthere. There were things that had to be adjusted severely to catch

the eye. Different things looked good to different people so I finallyjust decided on what was best for my specific audience and this iswhat it came down to. Everything was eventually saved to AdobeIndesign. The cut our around the letters and the stitching beneathare the main pieces of the business card. They are the strength ofthe design.

ObjectivesCreate three original logos for a chosen company. Usewhatever tools necessary to design the logos.

ProcessI first decided what the company was that I wanted torepresent. Then, I sketched out what I thought some of themain elements are for this company. Once I decided the mainelements, I took to Adobe InDesign to put my thoughts to

work. After realizing that I had missed the mark on some of myideas, I went back to the drawing board and thought of howto recreate these images. I finished by using Adobe InDesignand utilizing some photos from the internet to use as a basefor drawing. Once I had everything sketched out, the pictureswere deleted and I made all the designs my own.

ObjectivesCreate a brochure with at least one fold, and a text-wrappedimage.

ProcessI began by deciding what I wanted my company and logo tobe. I then had to figure out how I wanted my messageconveyed. I chose that my audience was middle-agedwomen who liked things that flow and would pay attention tolight colors with a fluffy design. In the Adobe InDesignprogram, I designed the layout of the brochure and where Iwanted most things to land. I then scoured the internet for

pictures. Adobe Photoshopis the program I used to cut out thepicture of the girl and I placed it onto my InDesign document. Ithen placed, measured, and designed the rest of the brochureto provide my audience with an eye-catching piece. I had toprint a couple of times to get the transparency right as well asthe placement of the fold and edge.

ObjevtivesTo create a flier using only Microsoft Word and a scanner.

ProcessI began with scanning the picture and adding it to a microsoftword page. I then proceeded to make quite a few sketches totry to decide how I wanted the image and message to be dis-played. Once decided, I simply manipulated the worddocument using only the features in this program. There were

other tries that displayed different colors, differentbackgrounds, and different amounts of busyness. After muchconsideration of my audience, I decided that a simple,straight-to-the-point ad would serve my purposes best.

ObjectivesTake a picture using correct tactics and then edit that photograph

to match a specific color scheme with proper design principles.

ProcessI began by deciding the type of color scheme I wanted to

incorporate. I then used a DSLR camera and took pictures that

matched. After this, I spent time drafting different designs based on

the different photographs I had taken. I chose my picture

because of the uniqe lighting that was hitting the building. Time wasthen spent editing the image to make everything match my color

scheme and look normal. I then decided to add one piece that was

abnormal and I decided on the mirrored image.
