Message from our Chairman and CEO,

Bernt O. Bodal

On behalf of the more than 1,000 employees

of American Seafoods, I want to thank you for

taking the time to learn more about our company.

We sincerely believe the more you learn about

American Seafoods, the better you will feel about

your relationship with us. This brochure will

provide you with both an appreciation of

our accomplishments and an understanding

of our aspirations.

You will see that American Seafoods takes very

seriously the responsibilities that come with

being a great corporate citizen. It is refl ected in

everything we do. It is refl ected in the quality of

our products, the effi cient manner in which we

produce them, the long-standing relationships

with our customers, our leadership in developing

new products both onboard our fi shing vessels

and in our further processing facility, the diversity

of our workforce and, fi nally, in the sustainable

management of all the fi sheries in which

we participate.

As proud as we are of what we have done, we are

always looking to do better. You will fi nd this spirit

within everyone at American Seafoods. Whatever

your relationship with American Seafoods, we

value your contribution and look forward to our

partnership together.BEST IN CLASS American Seafoods and its dedicated team of employees

around the world are committed to producing the fi nest seafood

products available. The following pages describe and illustrate

the incredible resources and drive we possess to make that

happen. From our best-in-class catcher-processors that operate

in the cold, clean waters of the North Pacifi c, to our land-based

processing facilities in New Bedford, MA and to our logistical

and sourcing operations around the world, American Seafoods

is uniquely positioned to provide customers with products

and service that surpass their expectations. When these

resources are combined with our commitment to innovation

and the sustainable management of our fi sheries, the result is

a company that adds value not only for our customers, but also

for the world.

MODERN FLEET OF CATCHER-PROCESSORSWith 45% of the at-sea quota for Alaska pollock and a major share

of the Pacifi c hake fi sheries in the Northwest, American Seafoods is

by far the largest U.S. harvester of pollock and hake and one of the

largest vertically integrated seafood providers in the United States.

For American Seafoods, it all starts with our fl eet of six state of the

art catcher-processors: the American Triumph, the American Dynasty,

the Northern Eagle, the Northern Jaeger, the Ocean Rover and the

Katie Ann. We are constantly updating these vessels with the latest

technology so we can best and fully utilize the sustainable fi sheries

resources in Alaska and the Pacifi c Northwest while always satisfying

the demands of the ever-changing global markets. These constant

updates also allow us to ensure that our operations have the least

possible impact on the environment.

“Our secret is the freshness.” It may seem surprising to hear one of the world’s largest

producers of frozen seafood products talk about “freshness,” but it absolutely is one of the

most critical factors in the superior quality of all our products. Each of our catcher-proces-

sors times their catches of Alaska pollock, Pacifi c cod, yellowfi n sole and Pacifi c hake to

best utilize the on-board processing facilities and ensure that the fi sh are processed within

just a few hours from harvest. The result of this level of control on our vessels is not only

the highest-quality fi llet, surimi and roe products in the world, but also unparalled fi sh/bone

meal and aqua-grade fi sh oil.
