You wouldn't normally picture a leather jacket at the beach. However, this leather jacket is made for the beach. Constructed of silky pig suede, it is soft, supple, and lightweight. Lined in a DWR Supplex, it wicks sweat and invites a body that is perhaps still damp and sandy. The sporty look of the jacket - a sportswear zipper, underarm panels of the same DWR Supplex for enhanced breathability, hood, zippered kangaroo pockets, upper arm zip pocket, adjustable storm cuffs and waistband, as well as the blue atoll color - makes this jacket a functional statement at the beach.

Taking inspiration from the sleekness and simplicity of stainless steel in architectural applications and from the accompany bright and pure qualities of those environments, the aesthetic objective of this uniform can be summed up in three words: Futuristic, Clean, and Bright. The silver fabric is a nylon dazzle, The upper arms and the center back, side and neck panels are cool pass mesh. The lower segment of the sleeve is tight, and utilizes supplex lycra. The uniform is ideal for colder weather, and the shorts can be worn with base layer compression shorts if so desired. The blue and red piping gives a minimal yet strong indication of country, especially when worn with matching socks.

The Race line for both men and women is one of three lines developed for SPARTAN RACE under the umbrella brand, SPARTAN. It is composed of a range of pieces designed for the physical exertions particular to the obstacle race as a new sport, drawing much inspiration from the types of garments currently selected by racers, and from the spirit and atmosphere of a race, brought to life within those racers.

The SPARTAN RACE mantra, Youll know at the finish line, means baring it all to the elements and to the obstacles, with little protection, to prove you to yourself. A Spartan is both daring racer and supporter, awaiting himself on both sides. Therefore, SPARTAN obstacle race gear is minimal without pad-ding and bulk serving not for protection as much as unimpeding cover and a show of spirit. Human body and mental drive are the means to completing the race.

aCOLOR & DESIGN INSPIRATION: The brightly colored garments worn by many Spartans emerage beautifully beneath the mud-soaked layers. At times, the combination of mud and neon emphasizes the upper chest and shoulders, which in turn highlights the face. This observation became the premise of the color selec-tion of brights, and of the colorblocking scheme of certain pieces of the SPARTAN Race line. Classic black and a military green are also offered for those that prefer the standard in sport and military gear. All items in the line may be mixed and matched as desired.
