Contours are always challenging and facinating. This project was to design a residential

appartment complex in Muree. Muree is in the top list for tourism in Pakistan. This was

a very challenging project as the requirments and expectations was very high and site

was not very felxible. This proposal is approved by client and working has been started

on it.-

URBAN REJUVENATION (OPRTUNISTIC DESIGN OF WAZIRABAD RAILWAY JUNCTION)

Travelers experience waiting on a station as much longer than waiting within a vehicle. Surveys have indicated that waiting time is

experienced as three times longer than it actually is. In this respect especially small and medium sized stations prove a big challenge.

These smaller stations are usually unmaintained, desolate, often creating a sense of un-safety. Being architects what can we do to

improve the situation?

“People think a station is just a roof but it is much more complicated than that, building in horizontal is much more difficult than

building vertically” (Santiago Calatrava)

An up gradation of the Railway Station at Wazirabad is soon expected in order to cater to the increasing demands of mobility. As

Pakistan Ministry of Railway have granted the budget for its development. This thesis attempts to foresee the impacts and opportunities

it will create as a generator and rejuvenator in the existing fabric. Then propose a holistic design to cater to the incoming station and

area users. Thus developing a lively city center.
